That's not gonna matter much to Americans if a city get's nuked.

I've been one Macs for 6+ years and this is a new one for me, thanks!

> watching an entire society vapourized by nuclear weapons

What society was that?

Massively unpopular? I doubt most people are aware of them, and many would be in favor for protecting us from terrorism/drugs.

I mean the population would presumably dip low enough to where fishing becomes too difficult to be profitable before total extinction.

My company does the same thing, our "meet some of the company" video features 90% of our non-white employees, while only showing about 10% of employees. The sane thing to do seems to just ask who wants to go to career fairs/be in other recruiting efforts, and not base race in the decisions.

Unless a secret court rules we have to let you.

It might be that we respond more rationally to health crises than we do to terrorism.

Maybe at Harvard, but smaller and less prestigious schools definitely would.

That's only $24 million per year /s

Snagit?

Where do you think all that student loan money is going? Universities are flush.

Don't engage them, that just gives them a platform

Many Americans (including myself) have gas ovens.

FTA: "In Mountain View, we’ve already worked with the city to change zoning in the North Bayshore area to free up land for housing, and we’re currently in productive conversations with Sunnyvale and San Jose."

Many spam emails I get these days from companies say things like "Unsubscribe from this list" so for example I have to unsubscribe from their "Daily Digest", "Weekly Digest", "Recommendations", etc. all one at a time.

Yes, but with Coconuts and Swallows

It brings people into their stores. If n% of people returning an Amazon package look around Kohl's while they are there, it's a win.

I would guess it would go like this: 1. Fired employee sues employer 2. During discovery, fire employees lawyer requests all documentation/emails/performance reviews for employee 3. Lawyer tries to show proof there was no other reason for the firing.

You can just add Discover Weekly to your list of play lists if that is helpful for you. I do that for DW and my Release Radar.

Kids are gathered in groups from daycare -> high school. In daycare illnesses spread quickly because of kids putting things in their mouth, and hygiene only improves slowly into elementary school.

Furthermore younger kids are more likely to be killed or seriously affected by illnesses than healthy adults.

Assuming everyone on the internet respects the "I am a British citizen or UK resident" checkbox, which is doubtful.

Should probably wipe them off before putting them in the charger...

I used to use SMC fan control on my older MacBook Pro to just run the fan at medium at all times. Definitely miss that you can't use it on the new touchbar MacBook pros.

Because it really whips the llama's ass!

You could mostly just get rid of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and most of the really bad stuff of late would be resolved. /s

Yea, the book "Ready Player One" really made me feel queasy about the effects it could have on our lives. Already I see it, myself and other people escaping into Farming/Business/Life simulating games to simulate the success we might not find in the real world.

I recently finished 'Drood' by Dan Simmons, a highly fictionalized account of this final period of Charles Dickens life. The novel was a bit heavy, and at times slow but overall very fascinating and unsettling. It's half historical fiction, half supernatural psychological thriller.

Despite the far fetched premise, I think it gives a good look into the time period.

Someone I worked with once told me that putting anything he does in a good light risks "normalizing his behavior". Shows how polarized these times are.

Answer: We don't know yet.
