After reading your post last year, i started my own niche website making iphone app templates (easily googleable). I ended up taking it to roughly $3k/month in revenue and have just sold it to a private company.

Sustainability is the ideal that (hopefully) we all strive for, because of the many negative effects of unsustainable business in the long term. Such as laying people off.

I think i'm just gonna knuckle down this week and do a full redesign.

The templates are very versatile imo, they allow you to easily modify them to suit your needs and don't go too far down one direction, so anyone using them should not have too many problems. Though i sort of agree with you that they don't solve ALL problems for everyone. That can only be solved by adding more templates. Which we will be doing regularly.

I worry about things like this. I'm all for freedom of information and all that, but if that information is all that's keeping one country from launching nuclear weapons at another. That information should be kept very very private indeed,

You're right. And it will only get worse as time goes on. IMO the upward trajectory of their stock price and how 'evil' they are willing to be, over time, will have a positive correlation.
