Yes and no, depends. It gives such experience to a software architect, otherwise not really. Tho, software architects do a lot more than just systems design (tho, that is pretty much their main task). But yes, you get a job as a software architect or something like an "in-training" one, helping one, etc. at a big corporation to get such experience (I'd argue that small companies only need some code design, you want a lot of systems/software design you should go for a big corporation)

Very cool idea, keep it up! It's one of the coolest projects I've seen in a game jam!

It depends I guess, here the average income is 656 euros. Internet and phone services are especially cheap, food and others not that huge of a difference in my opinion (depends where you shop tho). I live in Romania if you wanna research further.

Same here. I would advice the owner to change the way he markets this a little bit. Maybe mention the words Agile or Scrum at least.

I pay around 5$ for unlimited 4G, calls & texts within the country and a few hundred (can't recall how many) international minutes. I also only pay around 15$ for 1 Gigabit internet, cable TV and a house phone. I have to agree - the difference in prices around the world seems crazy when related to this aspect.

I have to mention, I do love how this looks! I'd be looking in using it as my daily driver for quick / short text edits and maybe small projects!

Since I really like the looks of it, in case you do need help with keeping it maintained, I would love to help! Feel free to contact me at contact@taigi100.com

Good luck and I hope it all goes well with this text editor!

One small detail: when your hearing will get worst you'll probably have to have a cochlear implant. The newer models have a "neat" trick where you can connect them to your phone / pc by using bluetooth so they can act like sort of headphones. Keep your head up and keep walking the path, you can do it!

I've used perforce in the past both for work & gaming. Gotta say, awesome experience!

Where do I sign up ?

I was also recently in the market for a new laptop and by far a "gaming" one ended up being the best price/quality ratio. My 900$ gaming laptop is hugely more powerful than my 3000$ mbp which can barely run a VM.

The american dream, the land of the free. So free :O

You and me both ^_^

This is subjective but, I've been working and prototyping in a LOT of languages in the past years in various domains. I have to admit that Julia was one of the very few that actually got me excited and love writing in it ^_^. As with everything, it has it's pros and cons - you just have to find the right balance that fits your needs.
