suyjuris··on A one-line package broke `npm create-react-app`
In case someone else is also confused by this, it seems that instanceof checks whether the objects prototype matches, and these prototypes are not shared across different contexts, which iframes are [0]. (Though I would still like to know why it works like this.)

suyjuris··on What is interesting about Factorio
Solar is less CPU intensive than other types of energy (thus saving the actual environment, interestingly). Factorio is incredibly well-optimised, but at some point this starts to matter.
suyjuris··on Inkscape 1.0 Release Candidate
This is quite exciting! I have started using Inkscape to draw diagrams for use with LaTeX a few years ago and I like it a lot. (There is an option to export PDF+LaTeX with allows you inline code.) For more precise stuff which requires programmatic handling (e.g. algorithm visualisations) I can just write out an initial SVG and edit that by hand afterwards. Maybe now is a good time to look into some customisation options, it seems there are lots of them with the 1.0 update.
suyjuris··on Colornames.org – A collaborative effort to name all 16.7M colors
It is a minor point, but 467 words would suffice, as there are 16865705 possibilities to choose 3 elements out of 467. (This is the smallest possible.)
suyjuris··on Sqlite 3.30.0
SQLite originated as a TCL extension, so it would make sense for it to share TCL's (notoriously lax) philosophy regarding types.
suyjuris··on Solving Sudoku with Prolog (2016)
It seems a bit misleading to talk about not needing search, if you are only referring to a very specific part in the implementation of a constraint solver. Without context, I would have interpreted it as being able to avoid an exponential search over the solution space, which is (for general sudoku, under mild assumptions) impossible. So while it appears to be an advantage in principle, the claim is actually 'sometimes this is faster in practice'.
