and also don't expect things
I don't even have a CS degree, I'm just a self-taught but then I kept trying and caught a break with an internship, it paid me more than $600 a month and I didn't even ask for it, they offered it generously.
And don't compare yourself with what others are building.
But the current situation is like "Out of the frying pan and into the fire"
I was using ChatGPT first then when Bing Copilot was released, I turned to it only to find out, it was even dumber and needed more prompting and there comes the prompt length
I prefer using the HN search engine instead..
Really Appreciate your advice.
Felt it :)
Most candidates underperform in this recruiting process and that uncertain feeling of not being enough(sometimes).

Shoe Dog by Phil Knight - I love the storytelling by the author, you can hear Phil telling this story himself.

If we are talking about a specific use case black box to automate the work, then it might be possible up to a certain limit.
because when we are talking about training Neural networks, we are looking for the best numbers. The so-called "emergent abilities" which say that increasing model size makes it smart can be true but what's the probability of getting most of the parameters to their correct values? There are billions of them.
(Total)Replacement? I highly doubt that.
It's not the case in real-life, the main problem is to detect the problem and then find the optimal solution. So unless you blend into it, get the test of CP, develop logic and get outside, build projects and keep moving, the field is vast, don't keep knocking same door everyday.
OpenAI was supposed to create AI for humanity but after realizing the worth of their product in the market they closed their gates. They haven't even released any information regarding the data they use for training their LLMs.
They seem to be raising money from investors to pour into new startups that are powered by OpenAI products(Like a fund manager?).
In the space where companies like Meta, and Apple are open-sourcing. It's only obvious to reciprocate if you are calling yourself a non-profit and acting totally for profit.
This lawsuit will bring a lot of mysteries and will be interesting to follow along. The Hot Chick in AI seems to be in trouble this time.
It also helped me in habit stacking, which led to better productivity too. routines help.
It feels nice to read it or watch it but unless we decide to change, it's not going to happen and decision fatigue is the main cause of this. Making fewer decisions will help.
I like to call it "The Curse of Decision Making" which is upon us.
Length of watch/read laters ∝ Magnitude of Procrastination.
Cut off from your work, don't even think about it, and start again.
