India is not that cheap yet ...

what point you are trying to drive home?

Probably he is looking for cheap labour. IIT/REC people always prefer startup so i cannot believe his statement about them. In fact he is not able to sell his dreams to them.

I agree

http://www.summary.com is your competition.. Gud luck

Being an Indian I can tell you the reason behind this. our education system unfortunately fails to promote innovation. even then there are a few startups like zoho and slideshare which are doing well.

Another thing which goes against Indian is their shyness. In west people get ideas patented left right center. On the contrary Indian people never go that far. Some of the people never get started because of fear of becoming a laughing stock on failure. Again root of this thinking lies in our 200 years old education. Startups are all about uncertainty ; our education system always teaches us to take the safest option.

"The best frameworks are in my opinion extracted, not envisioned. And the best way to extract is first to actually do."

so true

interesting comparison

Actually I wanted to learn both of them.

I do not know where to start. I have basic programming knowledge in python and vbscript.

It will save a lot of time..

kool joke indeed

Well rms I am from India. Mentality right now is against startups. Working for big companies is considered very smart and only options out here. But things are changing out here too. One of my friend quit his job to join a startup. I do not have the right credentials otherwise i would have setup a YC clone here too.

Great release from google. I have just started working with databases but i think these features are great
