Good lord. I love Nirvana but the differences between all these mixes are minor and barely noticeable unless you're swapping back and forth. Kurt would hate this shit.
Not surprising considering Nevermind is one of the best sounding albums of all time. I personally give Butch Vig a large part of the. refit for getting the best out of the band and really making an incredible album. Hard to believe it's the same band as Bleach.
Except many AWS services still route through us-east-1 anyway, which is why they have had huge outages recently. AWS isn't as redundant as people think it is.
Funny, I moved from Linux to Mac because I got so sick of no good laptops with full support for Linux and it's never ending subsystems for audio, webcams, trackpads, etc. And not like Linux UIs are known for being efficient and memory friendly either.
"Identical binaries" is not the same thing as "reproducible builds". It's maybe one aspect of one type of CI/CD, but I would say not even the majority.
You must not be in the internet much, because this is always the contrarian pick. In fact, your same comment is repeated multiple times in this very thread.
Last time I checked you couldn't even organize tests in different folders, I wonder if they finally fixed that. I always find it odd using test frameworks developed by a for profit company. They pick and choose what code to merge and bugs to fix based on their own priority, not what's best for the users.
It's cool, but warning that it treats variables differently. For example if you run an EXE command-line tool which looks for Windows environment variables, it won't use the Bash environment variables. Probably not a huge deal, just a gotcha we've hit at my company which caused a lot of wasted debugging time.
I'm pretty sure Facebook does simple IP address tracking to serve ads. I've noticed my wife and I both get served ads for things the other has recently searched for.
Where are you getting this information that they're moving to other languages? Isn't Instagram almost completely Python? I talk to them at PyCon every year and they spend a lot of time talking about it.
I'm saying if you run all your apps in containers, there really isn't much left to configure on the OS. Using Ansible for those few things seems like an easier solution.
Honestly, I find it infinitely easier to just do everything in in docker containers. Then the OS doesn't matter except for installing docker, and running docker-compose up.
Isn't this gonna cause a bunch of headaches though? What about people who connect to VPN and rely on the local DNS server to resolve non-public hosts? It'll work in everything but Firefox? Seems confusing.
Exactly, this is the whole reason whistleblower protections exist. It gives a lone wolf the ability to fight against the machines that are bigger than they could possibly fight themselves.
