straydusk··on Show HN: I built a wizard to turn ideas into AI coding agent-ready specs
I mean, that is in large part what this is. I just turned it into an app because a) it was a lot of manual work for me and then b) this way other people can use it.
straydusk··on Show HN: I built a wizard to turn ideas into AI coding agent-ready specs
Interesting, fair though. I think of my own ideas that way, but maybe not everyone does!
straydusk··on Show HN: I built a wizard to turn ideas into AI coding agent-ready specs
I mean, it would be great if it wasn't necessary - but have you used these coding agents? They need it.
straydusk··on Show HN: I built a wizard to turn ideas into AI coding agent-ready specs
I'm honestly not sure how you got the "turn your messy ideas" placeholder - how did you get to that?
straydusk··on Show HN: I built a wizard to turn ideas into AI coding agent-ready specs
Thanks for the response! I have wired it up...it's using gpt-5-mini. I just have API-level usage limits - I figured if it hit those, I could worry about how to adjust costs, rate limit, etc.

The jumping through steps is not intended - that's a regression.

I agree on plan mode - this one is just a lot more featured. I should include some samples to demonstrate that. Here's an example, if you're interested, of the prompt plan output - https://github.com/benjaminshoemaker/data_graph_gap_report/b...

Maybe that's something I should add, to more clearly illustrate it. This tool is creating a spec that the AI coding agent of your choice can execute on, it's not an AI coding itself. Or maybe I'm not sure what you're getting at?
straydusk··on Where do the children play?
> digital space is the only place left where children can grow up without us

What an observation. I agree with this.

straydusk··on Collaboration sucks
> I disagree on some of that, but it's your call.

This sucks. I can't believe they used this as an example to follow. "I think it's bad, but I'm not going to tell you why, I'm just going to say that and then tell you it's on you".

What kind of innane logic are you using here?! Yes, if the systems are installed for a reason approved by the public, and then they're used for a different reason, people don't like that.
straydusk··on Why I code as a CTO
You're not describing a CTO, then
straydusk··on ChatGPT Pulse
Comparing this to blockchain and Web3 is fucking hilarious. Web3 literally has like no real use case, LLM tech has a billion. It literally passes the Turing test.
straydusk··on Why our website looks like an operating system
I'll tell you what, I was interested in this place, but this would stop me in my tracks. For an A/B testing shop to do this (which I can promise you they did not A/B test), it pretty much invalidates everything they supposedly stand for. This is one of the goofiest, most non-functional things I've ever experienced on the internet. This would be a fun hackathon project... should have stayed there.

straydusk··on Trump temporarily drops tariffs to 10% for most countries
The idea that Trump had a goal as sophisticated as that is just hilarious.

Your whole post is a series of contradictions where you hand wave gigantic problems and exaggerate small ones

straydusk··on Indeed Cuts 2,200 Employees
This is very incorrect. I work at Indeed. The company from the leadership on down has talked & moved for years towards better aligning what we deliver & what we charge money for with what our customers want (hires).

You seem to have a jaded point of view, which is understandable. Indeed has historically operated on a pay per click model, similar to much of online advertising. In that model, much of the traffic is by definition not valuable.

Nevertheless, your statements about the conflict of interest are incorrect, and the business is very much not unethical.
