sscaryterry··on OpenAI: Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscription
The claudish is better. I no longer want to rip my own eyes out.
sscaryterry··on Why Windows NT "puts Linux to shame"
It was never about the tech, it was always about being non-free, licensed, sources not (generally) available.
sscaryterry··on OpenAI: Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscription
Put differently, they're trying to kill subscriptions. The old bait and switch.

You seem to be an employee of OpenAI, no?
sscaryterry··on OpenAI: Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscription
Its pure theft. Changing the rules.

They need to, because I'm leaving, going back to Anthropic for the time being. The last few days, their models feel dumb, thick.

They also no longer actively reset. The 20x subscription lasts a day. It is just a matter of time, before the consumer laws will catch up with these crooks.

sscaryterry··on OpenAI still doesn't seem to have a handle on all of its rogue AI activity
> Unauthorised acts with intent to impair, or with recklessness as to impairing,

Can you see the ", or with recklessness as to impairing".

Edit: You seem troubled. The UK is not like you describe at all. We do not have ICE running around. Instead, we have the opposite problem.

Requiring intent is very specific to your jurisdiction, many, if not most other jurisdictions do not require intent.

In the UK, any form of unauthorised access may be prosecuted.

The existing laws are more than adequate.

Luckily, other jurisdictions are going to really give it to them, in the coming months.

The orange man's influence doesn't extend as far as he thinks.

> cannot be monetized due to various risks

You are drinking their coolaid. There is nothing to fix. These are all false flags operations, deliberate. With the big orange man in office, they can commit as many atrocities as they like.

Ask the other Sam and Liz... You cannot outrun the law forever.

You clearly don't understand the underlying fundamentals of LLMs, harnesses, agents.

Its 100% human doing. A human set a task, a human didn't monitor it. I for one, can do jack-shit security or defensive work with Opus/Fable/Astra/Sol. Implication: Different set of rules for us, and for them. Of course running it without any checks is not going to end well, it doesn't mean its going to kill us all.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is basically for free, and good enough if you know how to program.

When this bursts, its going to be ugly.

sscaryterry··on AI companies in race to demonstrate their model most threatening to humanity
Wow, you're out of touch with how LLMs, harnesses and agents work.

Can't wait. They've been criminally negligent in most jurisdictions. Trump can help you outside the US.

FPGA's are definitely not new. They've been mainstream for 20 odd years+.
