srbhr··on Conversing with Vulnerabilities: AI-Assisted CVE Search
Just now I was reading a similar dialog/post by Scancode's founders. This is what he stated that AI assited tooling will rise and I'm now seeing it. This is great!
srbhr··on How are you dealing with the overwhelming amount of GenAI coming out?
Yes, it is exciting and I'm trying my best to catch-up with it. Making and trying out different products, tools and helping everyone with it. Thanks for the kind words.
srbhr··on How are you dealing with the overwhelming amount of GenAI coming out?
How do you get to know what will work? I'm referring this. > The difficulty now, as back then, is landing on the technology complement that proves the most technically no-nonsense and financially viable in the long run.

I had my try with Vector Databases as well. But at the same time, I highly feel people have started to add vector databases everywhere. And now generative code makes you feel you don't know anything. Feeling lost in the middle.

Mate, what if I miss that one? It feels exactly like that. :( I was given one shot, and I'm trying to make it work. But it doesn't.
srbhr··on React Sees a dip in NPM downloads this week
Yes might be that they're trying something like this.
srbhr··on React Sees a dip in NPM downloads this week
Okay thanks for letting me know. I had assumed that now people are trying newer alternatives. What's your take on trying something to and using them in production?
srbhr··on React Sees a dip in NPM downloads this week
Okay. Thanks

Okay another update: https://www.npmjs.com/package/express

Express is also down. Can anyone explain what's going on? Are people really moving to Astro, Bun, Svelte? Or NPM is behaving weirdly?

srbhr··on React Sees a dip in NPM downloads this week
Popular frontend framework react sees a dip in NPM downloads. And I just saw someone asking if Svelte is a good scalable frontend framework option.

I think, people are moving towards newer frameworks more and more. Also, we had Bun 1.0 release coming up. I don't know what is going on. Any thoughts?

srbhr··on Show HN: Swirl – An AI-Powered Open-Source Search Engine
Currently, it has the support for ChatGPT. And if you would like to work on and support lang chain then I'd like to help and contribute to it along the way.

Yes, this sits in the same space. But the capabilities are beyond those two. Algolia is not open-source. And Swirl can connect to various data sources event to Slack Chat, Teams, Outlook and provide search. Best case would be to perform RAG.

If you want to contribute, I'd suggest you take a look at the GitHub but also join the Slack Community. Best case would be to learn and provide an integration with it.

Thanks, yes indeed it's an awesome platform to integrate search. Yes, it can be self-hosted. Integration is easy, you can check in the docs. You can search and get AI based answers from your website. Link to Wiki: https://github.com/swirlai/swirl-search/wiki
