springogeek··on Cryptography: An Introduction (2011) [pdf]
We used this book as the source material for the cryptography course I took in the final year of my degree.

I can confirm that the content is very approachable. It even provides a great section introducing some of the core mathematics required.

springogeek··on Aseprite: cross-platform, open source sprite and pixel art tool
I used this tool during a GameJam last year and it was so great to use.

I love that it is cross platform and although I built it myself, if I was using it more regularly I would happily pay for it.

springogeek··on Show HN: Flexible Editor – An Open Source Flex-Box Based Layout Editor
I can't seem to get it to resize elements. I'm using chrome, and I have a simple layout, just the root and two children, but no matter what I do to the settings of the children, they won't resize.

I find the concept very useful though.

It would be nice to rename elements.

springogeek··on Remove the ++ and –- operators
It could be FORTH.
springogeek··on Advanced Computer Architecture
I took this course a couple years ago, and it is very well put together.

Not something I expected to see on HN, but hey. If you have time to peruse it, I recommend it :)

springogeek··on Ask HN: Any good audio podcasts?
NodeUp http://nodeup.com/

I use node regularly for side projects and this podcast is both educational in Node's history and use, as well as inspirational.

springogeek··on Ask HN: What are you learning right now?
C# for use with XNA. Working on an indie xbox/Windows game which I hope to port to MonoGame and other platforms.
springogeek··on Ask HN: What side projects are you working on?
Building a media management and streaming server for my local network, in javascript with node.js, along with an android app, so I can organise my music and listen to it at home from my phone :)

All these components exist, but its an exercise in software design, as well as learning both about Android and Javascript.
