Been out of that realm a few years, but if using panel providers anyway, Sawtooth was pretty much only software that didn't make me want to smash my computer. Especially any online builder tool, yuck. Never did run into anything we couldn't make it do.

No we'd probably work great together and be good friends. Now if I happened to be CEO in a sensitive industry.. it'd cross my mind ya.

Nothing personal, but slightly higher than average probability that you maintain enough ties to home to be persuaded in one form or another by the superpower pouring immense resources into doing exactly that.

Well instead of you telling TODO app what you have to do, TODO app tells you what you have to do, and that frees you up to think about doing it. Or it just does it for you and you go to beach.

spiritcat··on Men Beware: The Abercrombie and Fitch Effect
Of course you'd buy from him. Don't want him to think you're a low value proposition beta who can't afford to provide for his woman.
spiritcat··on What tech stacks are indie hackers using for their apps, and why?
Definitely are way more intricacies to the cli than I'll ever learn, but 99.7% (estimated) of my git usage is running the same 4-5 commands all day, which I have aliased to convenient acronyms. Don't even have to think about it.

The other stuff is there if you need it though.

spiritcat··on Parcel: Fast, zero configuration web application bundler
Just other day was trying to remember why everyone switched from gulp to webpack. There was some reason for it right? Or was it just that gulp/plugins were unstable.

Do remember looking into it for small side project but ended up just using npm scripts, maybe that's part of it.

spiritcat··on Living with a best-selling Indian phone for 10 days
Had to buy a $79.99 Blu C5 at target last minute few weeks ago when my phone died night before I had to catch a flight. Everything is really crappy and really slow, but so far perfectly usable.

Still been using it last few weeks since I can't decide which phone to get. If it had a slightly better speaker I'd prob keep it. Guess my needs aren't that demanding in hindsight.

spiritcat··on Apple dropping Intel as radio chip supplier, killing off the product – report
Been wondering if this is on purpose. Internally they know 10nm is gonna be the last process step and they need to milk each generation as long as possible/stall until new wondertech.

it's funny how originally jsx is what kept me away from react, and now it's what keeps me from leaving.
spiritcat··on React Native: A retrospective from the mobile-engineering team at Udacity
I guess just looking over the flutter docs, I'd miss jsx too much. Also hopefully a more stable backend to target with less differences between platforms.

spiritcat··on What life could be like for civilizations 1 trillion years from now
I mean, it's at least plausible that the first immortal has already been born. Whether that immortality is physical or digital, I'll leave up to the Westworld writers.

Alternate Westworld themed hypothesis: It's already a trillion years in the future, we're all living in the valley beyond and don't realize it.
