Why would any politician ever extend an olive branch again when it is just used as a -- very effective -- weapon against them?
Jealous. I would want to leave too and would be pissed that I hadn't found a new job yet.
If you were a dev manager or hired this developer, how would you feel about them leaving in the circumstances described? Incompetent. I've already lost this developer due to lack of management skills. Seeing them leave in these circumstances would just underline that good people quit bad managers. I'd be scared that I'd get fired next.I can't even see how that would be correlated with the news.
There is not a similar debate about climate change.
also, I tried the solution you gave and it doesn't work :(
I had to take a vacation to interview full time. That finally did the trick and got me the offer that let me jump ship. Also, practice not shitting on your current company. It's really hard to dial in the story about why your leaving without making yourself sound disgruntled.
I just wrote this function and used `function` rather than `=>` because I couldn't get the syntax right using an arrow function:
const showTable = ["email", "phone", "website"].reduce(
function (previous, channel) { return previous || !!institution[channel] && !/^\s*$/.test(institution[channel]); },
false
);
Of course, the inconsistencies are what I don't like about js in general.It's funny, my big a-ha moment on performance happened when I was working at a bank and could only code in vba (i.e. excel). All of a sudden -- even on small data sets -- O(n^2) was unacceptable and I needed to think about algorithms to get to O(nlgn).
The second was a dream because we built it after a couple of years dealign with the fallout from a bad ember app (plus "data down - actions up" was now the prescription).
Ember can be really nice if you follow the happy path.
