James takes too much to heart. There's always some wanker that can do it better in Go and it's faster and concurrent or whatever... Good on you champ. Now fuck off. Or starts dick measuring and says how his Scala code contains three lines less. Yep. You're making your mama proud. Piss off now. Bebel is something I heard of and I haven't moved passed jQuery so he's done something right.
The best tool ever. I'd still be using it if Chrome didn't copy it and make it better. It's probably why Chrome took off so well. I even used Firebug lite in IE at some stage in mid 2000's to troubleshoot stuff in it.
Sounds like the guy is looking forward to 2018 more than 2017. Like "everything is so 2000 on WP and they're focusing on the rest API and an editor. Fuck! But 2018 will be awesome."
Did this exist when Mandrill decided to boot their customers? I migrated all my clients that were on it to sendgrid but this would have been a good option for the cheap ones
I haven't. I like Angular because it's easy to integrate with DRF and the templating language is very similar to Django's, so it was fast for me to pick up. This is v1. I haven't tried Angular v2 though. I tend to stay away from JS as much as possible and my JS files rarely exceed 100 lines. But I think you should use whatever makes sense to you. Our stack has been really good to us. All those things just keep running. And supervisord keeps the Gunicorn workers up so can't be happier.
Their massive egos. It's you "I know algorithms and wouldn't touch a framework of any kind if kill me" boys and girls. Every second comment thread on this site ends like that.
Could some of this fatigue be due to to JS being so damn hard to troubleshoot? I'm still struggling with troubleshooting JS after years of using it on and off. I still console log everything and keep refreshing the page. Is there a more sane way of doing it?
Oh give me a break man. Starvation and homelessness. Deleting customers data is something you don't do. If they can't pay you can write off the bill. But people have committed suicides because of data loss. The parent post nailed it.
Installing from GitHub is a pain and if you upgrade packages and freeze into requirements.txt you can't tell which versions you've overwritten. You can easily stuff this up with a deploy script.
The problem is that the modern day fascists like Trump, Le Pen etc. have become champions of the working class, which was traditionally left. And the left has been lost in its political correctness that it's completely alienated the working class. Getting left to pull their head out of their ass and get the working class back on their side is what you need to do. I wish I knew how though...
