snats··on Great Books of the Western World
I came across this series of books because I am currently going through the Harvard Classics[1] a "competing series".

snats··on Show HN: Citadel – a Calibre-compatible eBook management app
it looks great. keep up the work, i would like to use it
snats··on Memes and mental health: How teens are coping with increasing stress
I am currently in my 20s and decided to basically leave social media when I was 17. It was really difficult for the first couple of months because I was pretty isolated thanks to the pandemic. Now I can tell you that I see the benefits of not being in the loop of local toxic events.
snats··on Learn Machine Learning
JAX feels like the new kid on the block. Every time that I see it is because it has made a project a loot faster (eg. WhisperJAX or the stable diffusion in JAX). Can anyone explain me why is it so fast is it because of parallelism?
snats··on Fuyu-8B: A multimodal architecture for AI agents
Yes, but currently there is a project called Aya[1] from Cohere4AI that I think it is trying to create multilingual models.

snats··on Large Language Models Are Zero-Shot Time Series Forecasters
Who is trying to make time series forecasting with LLMs/tensors? I have seen like four posts in the last few days. I know LLMs/transformers are really cool but I do not think they are the silver bullet that solves this.
snats··on CHART: Completely Hackable Amateur Radio Telescope
I ended up going into a bit of a rabbit hole. I learned that there is this telescope you can use[1] and there is a small guide[2] in there to check out how to use it. It is a bit more information from that.

What can you do with the data that you get? It seems like a really cool project but I feel that it has been a long time since they posted something and the analysis sections seems incomplete. I want to do one of this, but I want to know what is the data that I get and what cool stuff you can do.
snats··on NaNofuzz: A Usable Tool for Automatic Test Generation [pdf]
Testing is I think exactly one of the parts where LLMs can help a lot. I am not so sure in the rest of the codebase.

I am of the idea that software in general is written once but read a lot. But, for tests it is a good thing to have really extensive coverage. More than maybe a human is willing to do.

snats··on Goodreads is terrible for books – why can’t we all quit it?
I stopped using Goodreads recently and started using an open source alternative to track my book reads[1].

I was only using it to keep track of what I was reading so it made sense for me to just use this app instead.

snats··on Transform your Android device into a Linux desktop
There are images created specifically for termux. For example the link below is the first that I found.
