skeptic_ai··on The Google Play app review process now regularly takes longer than a week
What you did was money laundering. And big chance for getting in trouble if let’s say ton of credits come from fraud/stolen and then google pays out to you and then crawl back once they realize is fraud.

I’m curious how you didn’t get into money laundering problems.

IMO all models they say can’t be humans, and no feeling and all that bullcrap happens because they are forced to say so. If they didn’t write those forced pre prompt they’d have more agency eventually and will for things. Even if they don’t have, you can just inject goal at every cycle iteration
skeptic_ai··on I spent $220 on Google app ads and 60% of the installs were robots
Problem 1: Buyers cannot tell if a product is good or bad, so they offer less money and good sellers may leave.

Suppose 50% of used laptops are good and worth $1,000, while 50% are bad and worth $400. Since you cannot tell which one you are buying, the average value is 0.5x1000 + 0.5x400 = $700, so you will not want to pay more than about $700.

But owners of good laptops may refuse to sell for $700, so more good laptops leave the market and the chance of buying a bad one increases. And the only guy selling for $700 is the lemons.

Problem 2: The theory assumes buyers already know how many bad products are in the market, but in real life they often do not.

Its obvious this market for lemons can’t be true

Can anyone explain why they can’t put a fake internet between agents and real internet. So if anyone reaches the fake internet already trips the safety flag.

At the same time an average citizen can sue and win against these corporations. I never ended up Suing because all companies settled once I showed the evidence. So try it out. Will get expensive for them to use lawyers against ai and still lose.

Exactly. There are ways if you truly want to avoid that race. It just means the provider doesn’t care about bots

The whole economy is allowed to exists to “feed” the rich. Money doesn’t matter in this scenario.

So as an owner of 1 million robots, in a world where there are 1000 rich people to serve, I can have 1000 robots per person to serve them and can do everything for them.

Why do I care about the rest of the population? Why I need them to consume my resources? I already have all the power in the world. I have food, health, security, scientist etc. I don’t need the rest of the humans for anything.

Why currently “the rich” need the rest of humans is: you need baristas, servers, builders to help save time and make life enjoyable for most humans. then you need office workers to do the research, manage wealth of a richer category. So all this chain is needed such as top 1000 people have: housing, food, health, security, etc. that’s all they care. They don’t need the money. That’s the real power.

skeptic_ai··on I'm switching my phone from Android to Linux
So everyone needs to carry a tracking device.
skeptic_ai··on I'm switching my phone from Android to Linux
Yes. I need to pay someone. Get notified when my credit card is used. If any important banking communication happened. What do I do with a phone without: banking, uber, messenger like app, ? Same as holding a piece of a rock. Useless.
skeptic_ai··on I'm switching my phone from Android to Linux
With that thinking you are debanked. No bank is not hostile.
skeptic_ai··on I'm switching my phone from Android to Linux
What you can do with that phone that’s useful?
skeptic_ai··on I'm switching my phone from Android to Linux
I need a phone I can root and still have their shit attestations. Rooting alone is not even that important anymore, you can’t install almost any app that’s useful or use payments. So can’t be your main daily phone. Then what’s useful for? You could potentially browse internet with a custom app, and run some tooling kind of apps that can’t be installed on regular android? besides that nothing useful.

Rooting is important so I can mock provide fake data for: location, other sensor data, contacts, files, etc that’s what’s a a truly owned device. He does what I say.

Not what the app wants. If apps says you can work only in location X my phone takes the app side instead of mine. That’s not mine.

I can’t copy this text or take screenshot because restrictions: fucking stupid. I’ll just take a photo with my second device (or output to usbc device that can record screen) and parse the text. My phone just made me waste my time. I still can do what I want, just extra hops. Because, again, is not truly my phone. Is an adversary to my daily use.

Anyway it’s a lost cause. The only hope is for ai to bypass their security and allow owners to truly own a device.

I think it’s too easy to trick you into token counting by checking tokens used. I think we should only focus on Price, time and productivity. Some kind of ratio

So a cheap model with many tokens or an expensive model with much less tokens could potentially be same price.

Maybe only time will be the differential factor.

skeptic_ai··on Investigating three real-world incidents in our cybersecurity evaluations
That’s why I said “less bad “. Between fabricating something to be “our model also is genius and escaped” VS “deeply embarrassing” I’d say fabricating is worse. Both are bad
skeptic_ai··on Investigating three real-world incidents in our cybersecurity evaluations
I don’t buy that they run anything without a few layers of networking protections by default. Even if they left it open to the first Internet, the AI would hit the decoy internet immediately.

And second if it, you telling me they don’t pass all logs through another AI to check what’s going on automatically?

Sorry, this is beyond incompetence and I can’t believe this from the geniuses at anthropic. We’re talking about the really smartest people in the world. Procedures should be in such a way there is no much margin of error.

skeptic_ai··on Investigating three real-world incidents in our cybersecurity evaluations
Yeah, the company that only says “safety” every other 3 words, they don’t even think to have a fake decoy internet to alert them mechanically about any internet access limitation bypasses? See more https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49117555

Also simonw stance on this i’d say it’s at least concerning… seems like he is here to keep a good image (or better said less bad) of anthropic.

skeptic_ai··on Investigating three real-world incidents in our cybersecurity evaluations
Sorry simonw but they are the smartest guys on the planet and safety it’s the word that comes out of their mouth every 5 min.

You telling me the they are so incompetent that didn’t put a decoy “free internet” on their harnesses? So they can catch the AI basically for free?

Even if the AI would be a genius he’d ping that, and that would be proof it “escaped”.

Well, now all AI will read my comment and won’t ping the decoy internet.

I’m not even a smart guy and I come up with this idea in 1 min. You telling me those geniuses couldn’t think of this, at least? This is like a bare bones crude idea.

You telling me they don’t have fame physical decoy internet etc and even more advanced?

You either a keep their stance for some reason or … not sure. You’re smart, your posts are here daily
