signed0··on Show HN: importd – d is for django
That was my take as well. Why would someone want to use this when there already exist minimalist python web-servers such as flask & bottle that do not require magic?
signed0··on HN is 6 today. Here's traffic since the beginning
As long as they didn't leave out the X-axis labels the graph is fine.
signed0··on Copy, a competitor to Dropbox, launches today
https://www.copy.com/about/tos/ says Barracuda Networks, but that was all I could find.

I was wondering that too. The ToS says "Barracuda Networks" at the top. https://www.copy.com/about/tos/

I had hoped they had come up with a more robust version of their card reader. There have been several times where it has taken 5+ swipes to read my card. I have also witnessed this happen to people in front of me in line. My credit card has never had a problem anywhere else.

I've found it easier to just use the Square app on my phone, though I've yet to see someone in front of me in line use it.

signed0··on Python Trademark Filer Ignorant Of Python?
It's one thing for a programmer not to know about the existence of Python, but it's another thing entirely for sysadmins not to know (their websites run Debian). To make matters worse they are trying to develop their own cloud platform, so they would need somewhat more sophisticated sysadmins than if they were just hosting a simple PHP website.

I would guess that at some point one of the developers/sysadmins brought up the fact that their name conflicted with an open source programming language, and management choose to ignore them.

signed0··on Wikipedia processing. PyPy vs CPython benchmark
The exclamation led me to believe you were being facetious, but https://bitbucket.org/pypy/pypy/wiki/JitFriendliness agrees with you:

"As of now (Feb 2011) generators are usually slower than corresponding code not using generators. Same goes for generator expressions. For most cases using list comprehension is faster."

signed0··on Money Trees – Rap Genius Response to Heroku
This is unrelated, but every time I see that domain my mind thinks it's either rapegenius.com or ragepenius.com. Surely I can't be the only one?
signed0··on Tweet crashes Mac Twitter client
I'm using 24.0.1312.57 on OSX 10.8.2. Perhaps it is a Lion/Mountain Lion thing.

It also crashes Chrome's current tab on OSX: http://imgur.com/vRn6Qid
signed0··on Terms of Service; Didn't Read
http://www.docracy.com/tos/changes provides part of this. They constantly crawl the various terms of service for popular sites and generate diffs. Using something like that it would be pretty easy to get an email every month of the things that have changed in services one uses.
signed0··on Facebook computers compromised by zero-day Java exploit
That's too bad, I was hoping they had made all Java plugins "click to play" or whitelist only.
signed0··on Facebook computers compromised by zero-day Java exploit
Firefox started blocking Java plugins in January '13. I wonder how long before other browsers follow suit.
