shoulderfake··on Spotify signs ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to an exclusive multi-year deal
I listen to his podcast all the time both audio and video versions on YT and I dont see what the big deal is, so I open spotify instead of youtube and click JRE.
shoulderfake··on Spotify signs ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to an exclusive multi-year deal
I listen to Rogans podcast all the time , when has he ever made hate comments about transgender people ???? No way I'd have missed him saying something hateful about anyone period, let alone transgenders
shoulderfake··on Ask HN: Production Lisp in 2020?
Would love to see a breakdown of your setup for this :)
shoulderfake··on The effects on cognition of sleeping 4 hours per night for 12-14 days
This completely contradicts my experience with reduced sleep. If I sleep 6 hrs instead of my usual 8.5 I'm good for nothing that day. I can code for half a day maybe but thats it. My workouts are also severely affected in terms of max intensity.
shoulderfake··on America is stuck at home, but food-delivery companies still struggle to profit
Restaurants charge the customer on the back of those fees when using app for orders. So more like customer's pockets.
shoulderfake··on Google ends plans for smart city in Toronto
If you think Toronto is a functioning city, I suggest you do some traveling.
shoulderfake··on Google Pixel Buds
They look better in the ear than those ridiculous apple ones
shoulderfake··on A Critique of React Hooks
They're just redux middleware implemented with generators, so you can do some nifty things with it if your use case requires. I've used sagas on a several projects and they all actually did need that type of tool but I've chosen thunks on other projects when fetching logic was simple.
shoulderfake··on New iPhone SE
I have same experience with ios
shoulderfake··on Riot Games newest title “Valorant” installs kernel driver to run anti-cheat
Yea thats great, punlishers wont care because the vast majority of people dying to get a beta of valorant wont give two shits about installing kernel drivers.
shoulderfake··on Teen Who Died of Covid-19 Was Denied Treatment
Ya whoever took them there made a mistake but that just illuminates the fact the system affords this type of power to this person where any layperson is in position to make a life or death decision of someone elses life. What kind of sick fuck that works at these urgent care centers can look at someone that sick and send them away? Rotten to the core...
shoulderfake··on Toronto is gathering cellphone location data to find people congregating
This. At a time like this take all your privacy concerns and throw them out the window. Id rather be healthy and spied on than in a woefully unprepared Toronto hospital. This city and province are about to take a beating. My mom works at a hospital downtown and she says they have no idea what they are doing and no plan for the influx of cases whatsoever.

On top of that, the general public are about as smart as a truck tire so you can't rely on any cultural responsibility from your fellow citizen. Just the other day a crowd lined up down the block in front of a video game store to grab a copy of a newly released game which was available to download.

shoulderfake··on California governor issues statewide 'stay at home' order
Considering what's going on in Spain, anything less than police enforced total shutdown will end up being an insufficient response.
shoulderfake··on United hides cheapest flights from passengers affected by Coronavirus
In usa when a corporation does it, its legal. When individual does it, they get pinched.
shoulderfake··on Elon Musk’s plan to build one Starship a week and settle Mars
Who da hell wants to go live there seriously??
shoulderfake··on “Let’s use Kubernetes.” Now you have eight problems
Then dont use it. Like wtf.
shoulderfake··on Ask HN: How did you fix your narcissism?
Magic mushrooms , a few strong trips separated over few years.
shoulderfake··on Luxembourg Wants to Solve Congestion with Free Public Transport
More like lazy reporting.
shoulderfake··on What It's Like to Work on League of Legends
Why the hell would anyone work at a place like that
shoulderfake··on Boeing's safety vs. cost-control culture may be what sent out fatal aircraft
How on earth is that not a criminal charge????
shoulderfake··on Volkswagen exec admits full self-driving cars 'may never happen'
Perhaps take 10% of the military budget and you might just have some $ for that
shoulderfake··on We Need Chrome No More
Whenever Firefox comes out with a new version I try to use it for a week and realize it just doesn't perform as well as Chrome. Theres always one or two sites like twitch where it just LAGS to death whereas in Chrome its smooth as butter. At this point I just go back to it. Sigh...
shoulderfake··on NBC took Bob Costas off the Super Bowl for speaking out about concussions
Also, nobody outside of USA actually likes American football as a sport. There is no global appeal to the sport.
shoulderfake··on Netflix to Raise Price from $11 to $13 a Month
The main problem with it is that its hard to navigate. Why isn't the show I watched last right there visible for me to click when I revisit the page ? Instead its buried two page lengths down.
shoulderfake··on Recovering Emotions After 24 Years on Antidepressants
The entire medical profession is medication-first... my brother was diagnosed with MS and none of the many doctors he talked to mentioned ANYTHING regarding diet. Meanwhile as soon as you do your own research you find out that diet is your primary means of battling it. I was also diagnosed with depression few years ago, these fucking monkeys instantly gave me some ssris...I wasn't depressed. I had a sleep problem that wouldn't go away and had anxiety but they gave me those pills first and foremost. I didnt take that shit, but you get my point.
shoulderfake··on It doesn't have to be crazy at work
Im pretty sure the book wasn't directed at low/no skill workers. It is directed at professionals that work in these retarded environments. And no, there's no such thing not having a choice for a professional. I've gone from one profession to a combination of low wage part time jobs to a 2nd profession and there is ALWAYS a choice for people. Only time there isn't a choice is when you aren't willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work.
shoulderfake··on Buzzfeed journalist denied China visa following coverage of Xinjiang crackdown
NOPE
shoulderfake··on Docker cannot be downloaded without logging into Docker Store
Majority of people out there are complete idiots, Im not trying to be rude either. Very few people think for themselves.
