There actually seems to be quite a lot of evidence for the US having a low social mobility. I recall some articles a while back in The Economist about it [1][2], something that surprised me a few years ago. Not any more. It doesn't take long to find many reports detailing this.

I'm using Anki (http://ankisrs.net/) which is a similar system (spaced-repetition/flashcards). I'm using the "fat" client, although it syncs to all my desktops. I only have one "deck" at the moment (vim) and am building it up. I think it is helping me a lot.

Regarding responsiveness in Firefox. Using Debian 7 Linux I've also experienced the browser getting sluggish on occasion, even recently. It is not as bad as it used to be, and generally the browser is still useable, but it is still annoying.

Responsiveness being : it takes too long to a) switch tabs b) open a new tab c) access a menu (e.g. File/Whatever). The UI might take a second or more to respond. I might have 50 tabs open spread over 5-6 windows.

Currently, the browser is running well and I suspect the most recent responsiveness trouble was caused by an add-on (Brief - feed reader) which I have disabled.

But I second the call for a better way to identify badly behaving tabs (CPU as well as RAM) more easily.

Firefox is a great browser and thanks to all who make it.

It's about time but surely quite a bit half-baked ...

Right now, there's no concept of having page "administrators", so the person who creates the page is the only one who can post to it. Also, no transfer of "ownership". Both these things are "coming soon" apparently but make the whole experience a bit suboptimal right now.

I'm also using an X220 and Linux, without problems. Debian Sid. Everything seems to work, no lockups (not using compositing though). Nice laptop.

Surely you're not saying KVM is bug free? Looks like it. That's almost certainly wrong.

Not very "NoScript" friendly ... basically, nothing works (navigation, links) unless I disable it.

This always makes me pause to wonder if there's a compelling reason I should "temporarily" disable NoScript (which often then cascades to more sites I need to "temporarily" unblock), or just walk away. I often do the latter.

I've been looking at Perl frameworks recently, and Dancer in particular. Dancer looks good to me - but so does this. I'd love to see it compared and contrasted to Dancer and Catalyst. Great work!
