shahinrostami··on Show HN: Collection of animated algorithms and data structures
You're right, I think I even tried exporting mine to WebGL, but I think I had some issues with using it on mobile/tablet browsers. I'll check it out again soon!
shahinrostami··on Show HN: Collection of animated algorithms and data structures
Very nice work! I turned to Unity to visualise sorting algorithms (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq1hNXuwdfQ), but having it on a webpage is much better.
shahinrostami··on Does Tweeting Improve Citations? One-Year Results from a Randomized Trial
Perhaps a "relevant" paper "The Kardashian index: a measure of discrepant social media profile for scientists" (https://genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13...)
shahinrostami··on Show HN: Interactive Chord Diagrams in One Line of Python
I've made this available on GitHub https://github.com/shahinrostami/chord

Video of it in action + examples https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ2RnU-0KwQ

shahinrostami··on How I made $3,300 on a short niche philosophy book
Not quite comparable to your success, but it was nice to get a few sales of my self-published book on Data Analysis with Rust Notebooks (https://store.shahinrostami.com/product/data-analysis-with-r...)...

Is Gumroad.com worth considering?

shahinrostami··on Chord – Interactive Chord Diagrams in One Line with Python
My project for the last couple of days... interactive examples at https://shahinrostami.com/posts/statistics/data-is-beautiful...
shahinrostami··on Setting fairness goals with the TensorFlow constrained optimization library
If anyone would like a beginners introduction to multi-objective optimisation and understanding trade-offs you could check out this (my) video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56JOMkPvoKs. Real-world problems are often multi-objective with conflicts between the considered objectives.
shahinrostami··on Dreamcast Emulator Redream 1.5.0 Progress Report
Great work - the Dreamcast brought me many years of fun and I can't wait to check this out on a Raspberry Pi!
shahinrostami··on Show HN: I wrote a book on Practical Evolutionary Algorithms in Python notebooks
All of these are Jupyter notebooks which I've made available for free. It's a practical book and I wanted everything from the input to the output to be reproducible, so if you click "Source", you can download the source IPYNB that was used to generate the page. I then wrote a script that uses puppeteer (https://github.com/puppeteer/puppeteer) to generate a book (https://store.shahinrostami.com/product/practical-evolutiona...) using every section.

I've settled on some tools I'm happy to use long term, but I did end up trying many old/new solutions before I found them!

shahinrostami··on Show HN: Purple Theme for JupyterLab
Thank you, glad you like it. You're right about the theme not applying to the plots, I did try applying similar colours/transparency to my interactive plots (Plotly) but it was not worth the trouble in the end! Instead, I have a "preamble" cell that I always include in every notebook that sets these colours for me.
