i do throw a paywall on most of my projects. i'll both probably remove the paywall and this project entirely. but i was curious to see how people behaved with this bot and my question is answered! still no one has compared it to character AI which is what i was most interested in

good insight! I use a lookback window of one response, because it gets pretty expensive to do more.

Yeah, the OpenAI API regularly takes >10secs and I use a serverless backend. it's unfortunate!

A linktree clone, but I was annoyed it was so tiny on desktop, so I made one. No customers, but had a ton of scammers use it for free sites. So I locked it down to paid.

just did it and got 6 out of 12. I think some of the border/radius/corner ones are weird because even as a designer you think about them as buttons, seeing a blocky div makes it confusing

i liked her light dig at the british govt for not having a modem or a policy on the internet. funny how different it is now with all the european regulation of the internet.

i think the connect wallet flow makes it feel more like a high effort joke. it reads your balance and adds the value in the UX. it uses MetaMask and is pretty clearly read-only, the site doesn't ask to sign any transactions.

just tried this based on your comment. it does seem to re-process on every slider change, which I don't love. but definitely gets the job done! i prefer (biased obviously) live updates and also Kapwing lets you do general timeline edits you'd expect as well (text, overlays, add multiple tracks, etc.)

i really like the idea of automating the first one - sort of solves for not needing room noise as a bridging mechanism. i think we'll try this!

in Audacity you can use Truncate Silence, which is pretty similar. Though obviously just for audio tracks, and I find it a missed opportunity that there isn't a live preview with a slider

for some that's viable - either have multiple cameras or record with reset and record with different angles, but that's a lot of overhead for certain situations. has it's place for certain projects i think
