setnone··on Tell HN: I'm not excited for Fable and am disappointed in Karpathy
words like 'inequality' and 'defected' tell me theese are ideologically charged expectations which might be the root cause of your disapointment
setnone··on From brain waves to words: a new path to communication without surgery
non-invasive tech from meta? i don't buy that
setnone··on Anthropic requires 30 day data retention for Fable and Mythos
the grooming (marketing) game is strong with anthropic
setnone··on Google employees internally share memes about how its AI sucks
a mistery indeed
setnone··on Artificial intelligence is not conscious – Ted Chiang
Is it intelligent then?

Is it accountable? Is it responsible?

Artificially, perhaps

setnone··on Show HN: Nutrepedia – nutrition info in 29 locales built with Clojure and Htmx
cool! i see at least two reasons in the title to upvote this
setnone··on Anthropic surpasses OpenAI to become most valuable AI startup
my take it's because of the naming: Amodei, Claude and Mythos have this money-throwing vibe to it
setnone··on Claude Opus 4.8
if you go this route don't hold your thoughts on the casino itself
setnone··on Claude Opus 4.8
Claude's 4.6 - 4.7 transition made me discover codex, and with gpt 5.5 there is no way i'm going back
setnone··on Tell HN: Claude 4.7 is ignoring stop hooks
bunch of Tells HN incoming...
setnone··on Tell HN: Claude 4.7 is ignoring stop hooks
> they will usually provide extremely useful information

bold claim, they'll provide bunch of words for sure like in this particular tool's response

setnone··on An update on recent Claude Code quality reports
absolutely agree: non-1M Opus 4.6 on x20 max was peak AGI

now it's back to regular slop and just to check otherwise i have to spend at least $100

setnone··on An update on recent Claude Code quality reports
Good on them for resolving all three issues, but is it any good again?
setnone··on How do you overcome the "build it and they will come" trap?
some strong advice here for example

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47667504

setnone··on I am building a cloud
Yeah i feel like it's getting cloudy
setnone··on How do you overcome the "build it and they will come" trap?
It's really hard out there, but trap? who's trapping you?
setnone··on Show HN: Mediator.ai – Using Nash bargaining and LLMs to systematize fairness
definitely a great use of LLMs
setnone··on Slop Cop
'Add Slop API Key' button is a missed opportunity here
setnone··on Ask HN: Building a solo business is impossible?
Obvious thought: don't go solo?
setnone··on The noise we make is hurting animals. Can we learn to shut up?
The amount of noise on this website is ridiculous
setnone··on AI singer now occupies eleven spots on iTunes singles chart
frightening either way, probably part of an operation that makes this AI chart so high
setnone··on AI singer now occupies eleven spots on iTunes singles chart
the comments are very suspicious and very scary
setnone··on Issue: Claude Code is unusable for complex engineering tasks with Feb updates
The baseline changes too often with Claude and this is not what i look from a paid tool. Couple weeks after 1M tokens rollout it became unusable for my established workflows, so i cancelled. Anthropic folks move too fast for my liking and mental wellbeing.
setnone··on Talk like caveman
caveman multilingo? how sound?
setnone··on Show HN: Contrapunk – Real-time counterpoint harmony from guitar input, in Rust
> Guess this is what I will be listening to through rest of the day

You won't be alone :)

Such a cool project and the name and thanks for making it open source!

setnone··on 12k AI-generated blog posts added in a single commit
i guess 11K won't do it and 13K is just way too much
setnone··on Show HN: I built a frontpage for personal blogs
My literal brain pictured blogosphere's frontpage as something with users, rankings and comments on the websibe.

But moderation and spam are still the hardest problems indeed.

setnone··on Show HN: I built a frontpage for personal blogs
This is great. I'm curious what's your vision on adding comments?
setnone··on Ask HN: What is your dev set up like?
As of April 2026: IDE (VSCode + extensions) feels like home, Codex/Claude apps feels like i'm visiting my chaotic relatives.
setnone··on Show HN: The Alphabetical Clock
It's fine. Made me think of alphabetical organization, if you could sort an alphabet by any meaningful order rather then, well, alphabetical
