I would never want to work on a larger Ruby code base again. It's just too hard to iterate on as things break too much compared to a larger Swift code base. That's just my take.
I actually like Ruby, but for scripts and smaller code. Not large applications. Same applies for ES6, where I think TypeScript would do a better job.

I might fork and do my own version where I try to adhere to Swifts strengths while still staying close to Rails API where I can, e.g same naming scheme and pipeline design as Rails.
Rails biggest weakness is Ruby. Leveraging Swifts strengths with protocol extension, where clauses and generics could actually improve on Rails current API.
Edit[0]:
Added an idea for filter API. Not happy with it, but it's a start. Before/After filters could just be a list of "stuff" (selectors, closures, etc) to be called before any action. It could also use group_dispatch to ensure that filters are called in sequence and only call the method once all filters are done.
group_dispatch (think semaphores, but not as "dangerous") :)
There is potential here, I like a "full" package like "Omakase", granted its built using Swifts strength and a pipeline model like Express.js and/or Rails and its rack middlewares.
Do you also find "comfort" in only using Apple products?
But sometimes, when I'm uncertain of the design or whatever decision that needs to be made, I fall out of the zone and into procrastination mode to avoid making a decision that I feel might be wrong.
For some government employees or agencies/body-shops temporarily trying to get squeeze some free PR out of it for government contracts. Not for private employees, most certainly not S/W engineers.
On fun stuff, I get more done on 12 hours than I do on 6 hours, so not sure what the variables are for the studies in question.
Quite frankly, I can't see how you're a justifying such behaviour without looking within and see what kind of polarisation it causes.
Unemployment is bad overall. Too much free-time and not enough money (basic income won't cover "fun") will have consequences regarding crime.
Look at Sweden. Even with free healthcare, education and living costs covered the suburbs are filled with crime and radicalisation.
What is it you feel is so compelling with siding with one idiot and not the other idiots?
There are decent ways to go around this to empower non-white hiring. This isn't helping anyone, and ends up alienating a lot of people.
I wonder how far people are willing to go for "diversity". Branding a group as "pale devils" is a good way to start diminish people into justifiable targets.
This isn't going to go away unless someone steps up and stops it. Unfortunately those who want to stop it are being branded as bigots, and others can only gain (votes, power, etc) from situation like this.

Noticed this might be an ad about a book... Parsing JSON in Swift. The bubble is real. What developer would buy this? What's next, a book about NSURLSession?
Yeah but at least the UK got a rental market, think about it. Stockholms market is scattered and hard to come by without connections or help. But not only that, most people who rent out their apartments in Sweden will either go through the Co-op board and only get a year, or do it under the table, both situations adds a lot of insecurity to the tenant.
In Singapore, there is a broad market from super cheap and shitty, to super expensive and amazing. Having a broad, free market helps consumers a lot more than having it closed down for a queue-system.
Sure, I can get a closet space with no air condition and no kitchen for a 1/5, or I can pay 3/5 and get a condo, at least there is a choice.
I can't speak for rest of Scandinavia, but I know in Stockholm that choice doesn't exist. You're forced to buy.
I prefer a free market. At least people can rent out in UK and not get in trouble with the Co-op that only allows one year at a time.
