The only programming language book I've enjoyed and benefited from as much since then is Fluent Python.
I'm asking, uh, for a friend. :-)

I recently hit a bug where all data was being checked to see if it was a datetime, and python interpreted `st1` as September 1st of the current year.
"On Election Day that year, FiveThirtyEight’s forecast gave Trump a 29 percent chance of winning. This was a better likelihood than was reflected for Trump in a number of other forecasts, though it still amounted to just under a 1-in-3 chance he would win. The site’s Nate Silver wrote that there was a 1-in-10 chance that Trump would lose the popular vote and win an electoral college majority, which is of course what happened."

Mozilla is hiring a Director of Site Reliability Engineering. This is a new position overseeing the team I'm on plus two other teams in a recently-consolidated SRE organization. Come help us make the services behind Firefox and more better! I'm happy to answer any questions I can, just email me at bpitts+whoshiring @ mozilla.com

Specifically for criticism of the CEO, I wish people would keep in mind that Chris Beard was CEO from 2014 through 2019.

But why? What's the purpose of a public website with a catchy domain that chronicles when internal-facing tools were killed (usually because they were replaced with something better)?
I understand the agenda behind Killed By Google, but right now your site just leaves me scratching my head.

What does "scale atomically" even mean? How does removing limits relate to horizontal vs vertical? HPA is based on request utilization, not limits, afaik.
What's your take on the arguments against limits in the comment at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24356073 ?
Also, even without limits I believe CPU is prioritized based on the request. So if 1 pod requests 100 millicpu and another pod requests 200 millicpu, if they both try to use all the CPU on a node the one that requested 200 millicpu will use 2/3 of the CPU and the other will use 1/3.
Although you can't launch new clusters on it anymore, Google hasn't even forced clusters on 1.14 to update to a newer version yet.
I think the old Firefox for Android (Fennec) has been around for at least 10 years, not 2.
No. Please stop.
