santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How many hours a day can you reliably do high difficulty cognitive work?
Thank you for the kind answer. I appreciate it very much.

I believe I'm leading a healthy lifestyle (plenty of sport, good sleep except when i go out partying, a nutritious diet), so perhaps the factor I might optimize the most is motivation (though I do think I'm motivated, it's where I might be able to get the best ROI for my effort).

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How to run a startup and party on weekends without dying?
This is good advice. The funny part is i don't drink alcohol when I go out, just water or soda. So alcohol is not what's destroying my productivity. It's the disruption in sleep cycles (from going to bed at 1am to going to bed at 6am).

I think a sensible idea would be to keep going out (after all going out and meeting new people is part of youth) but to do it less frequently and not twice per weekend, so that my circadian rhythms are not completely obliterated.

Thx for the thoughtful response

There has to be a way to make both plans work. Some technique perhaps. i'm looking for it
santy-gegen··on If you had to guess what % of Americans are
from @rauchg's tweet right? way to go bro!
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: What are the boring parts of software development?
It's common knowledge that documentation bugs most people i guess. Congrats on building stuff!
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you price a SaaS prodcut?
wow, it sounds extremely bureaucratic but then again there must be some reason why bureaucracies come up with size. it's a great warning and very kind of you to share this info with me. I'll do my best to avoid these pitfalls when selling to big co's. Also, it seems pricing your product under 100 bucks might do the trick
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you price a SaaS prodcut?
Thx for the very detailed response. I think the main wisdom for me lies in understanding how it is important to take into account the budgeting process of big companies & to also use a margin of safety technique when deciding the price.

Thank you very much!

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: Does ChatGPT use Next.js as it's framework?
i know i know, the model is itself built with python, and the frontend calls the api endpoint that runs the model on the gpu'¡s they've bought i guess
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: Does ChatGPT use Next.js as it's framework?
haha true, it's just that i'm trying to learn and sometimes am insecure about my methods. but thanks for the confirmation!
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: Is there any science to naming products?
Can't believe this advice is free. Hacker news really is an amazing community. How do you actually do a trademark research?
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: Is there any science to naming products?
Tried it, incidentally. It was taken however (multiple times haha)
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: Is there any science to naming products?
Ok, I'll use the condition that the utility of the product has to be clear from the name alone. Sounds reasonable.
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
very funny and on point, specially the mandatory BS training
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
thanks for the honesty, it makes me feel so much less worse about having days where my productivity is not peak
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
I like the distinction. Yesterday was a mix of days 1 & 2. Agree with all suggestions (I have a quiet desk with notifications turned off usually, so I guess that wasn't the problem).

I'll implement the just focus on one part of one project thing though, sounds like a smart strategy.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
Ok, it's an interesting technique. Working on less challenging stuff when not on your best
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
hahaha, I'm from Argentina curiously so I have that solution quite handy.

It's good to know your opinion on rest, thank you very much

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do you code when you're not feeling well?
Ok, it's kind of what I experience but it's good to know I'm not alone
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: What do pro developers use as their noSQL db?
interesting take, does it scale well in your opinion? what should i take into account when considering a db (in terms of scaling)?
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do YC startups generate their privacy and legal policies fast?
Precisely, copy paste from where?

I've found this app online but it seems YC startups are doing it differently: https://app.termly.io/user/sign-up?from=builder

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: What are some excellent blogs, news boards, YouTube channels to follow?
Kurzgesagt on Youtube is interesting. Lex Fridman's podcast is also great.
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do newly launched YC startups encrypt data in their db's?
This is a very thoughtful and detailed take. Thank you. I was thinking of doing something like client side field level encryption because I personally think the product will be better that way. This type of encryption would protect against data theft even if someone got hold of db access, since they would only see encrypted strings and binary buffers.

It's a good idea to point out to be careful, since getting locked out of your own data would certainly be annoying.

santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do newly launched YC startups encrypt data in their db's?
that's a fair point and a useful heuristic
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do newly launched YC startups encrypt data in their db's?
It seems reasonable. That's why I'm trying to figure out how the best startups (YC ones are probably among the best) do their encryption and how they think about it. Tbh I couldn't find much info online so that's why I'm asking here
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do newly launched YC startups encrypt data in their db's?
why so? i agree that most users probably don't care but i personally care and that's why i'm interested
santy-gegen··on Ask HN: How do newly launched YC startups encrypt data in their db's?
interesting take, what i'm trying to learn is how do startups decide which fields of their db's to encrypt (maybe all of them?). Also, what do you think is the danger of encrypting stuff? It looks safer but I might be wrong (eager to learn more)
