So easy and super convienient if you quickly need your local server accessible from somewhere else.
1. New content creator enters market. 2. Content gets uploaded to tube sites constantly, take-downs are intentionally slow and ineffective to make this process as tiresome and inefficient as possible. 3. New creator is eventually forced to upload the content themselves in order to generate leads and collect some revenue although this is very little. 4. This revenue is not and was never planned to be enough for the creator, two options: A. Quality of content and models is reduced in order to reduce costs and remain profitable. B. This does not happen, studio struggles to stay afloat and is forced to sell, it gets acquired by guess who... the parent company of the tube site.
I probably got some things wrong so feel free to correct me!
Someone created a popular thread a while ago (3th most popular post of all time) discussing this precise thing [0]. People with posts asking for help, or just starting out (often not the most exciting content) would get lost in the noise and disappear, I often scroll down the 'new' tab a bit to catch those 0 comments posts but sometimes I am just not in a position to answer these, often due to inexperience/lack of expertise on the subject.
I don't know what the solution for this problem would be, to be honest I don't even really know what is causing the problem, an excess of 'wantrepreneurs', a problem with the audience or if the more successful IH-ers got tired of summing up the ways to monetize your side project, I don't know if a very strict 'FAQ - READ THIS BEFORE POSTING' is going to solve this or if it just needs more of a personal community feel but I do think the quality of IH as a forum is degrading by the month and that I am sad to see it do so. Fortunately there are currently plenty of gold nuggets to find between the plethora of posts that sometimes seem to resemble what is in my Medium feed.

You can embed the Vue js file in your page, add <script></script> and you're ready to get started, no limits every feature is available. Of course for anything other than the most simple stuff you'll want some structure in your app so I use vue-cli which sets up the basic stuff.
- Cloud functions
Can be as simple as writing one in your browser in the azure/GCP/AWS console and as "complex" as using for example the serverless framework to deploy.
That's it!
EDIT: Should be fixed now!
- Tech This application uses Vue.js on the front-end, GCP cloud functions on the back end for all the processing with GCP Datastore as DB for the listings and Firebase for hosting. I wanted something that was easy to maintain and where the cost would nicely scale with the usage.
