Also the "general" Reddit opinion on topics tends to skew super pseudo-intellectual and shortsighted.
One remarkable thing here is the difference between comments and up-votes. It's not unusual to see a post trending where the top comment directly undermines the idea expressed in the post. Either by pointing out it's falsehoods or logical inconsistencies.
Housing is smaller but one doesn't live in a suburb, cars are more expensive but that's the idea, fuck cars. The one that stood out to me the most is "so is food". What? American supermarkets are cra-zy expensive to me.
I'm not saying you're wrong but that both our analyses are probably nonsensical.
Some of the improvements look universally great (especially sweet & simple ones like the ratsnest improvement) others will slightly alienate the current users but hopefully make the program feel more familiar to first time users.
I looked into using this as well but eventually decided against it due to the lack of active development.
>If I was a retail store owner greeting customers at the entrance and someone came to me and offered to place a clone to do the same job, so I could be productive in the back, would I take that offer? Yes.
No you wouldn't. Because a creepy clone at the entrance that is unable to reply to customers or interact with them in a genuinely dynamic way would be terrible. Which is what this is.
I don't like being negative but this, this just sucks. You're tricking people in believing you paid a higher cost for that video than you did and thus about the amount of fucks you give about them. Furthermore once more companies start doing this, this format will lose it value because it no longer demonstrates anything even from actual genuine people.
Anyone with an analytical/rational mindset will probably love both, even if you're normally not into fiction.
Don't expect to be able to discuss it with anyone that hasn't read it - or something like it - though.
I'm nut sure but I think they change their UX/UI about once a month, it's so extremely frustrated that a banking app, which is just a tool, not for entertainment, has to be figured out again and again because they keep changing it. Without adding anything. The UX never improves, just changes...
Expats even get tax breaks to incentivize them to come here. Which is fair IMO. However it sucks big time for the countries they leave behind (brain drain, net negative financial impact).
I think this is misleading and to me makes it sound like James Damore is some sort of male supremacist, memo here: firedfortruth.com
Own code would be bad but libraries? That's kinda the idea of an abstraction layer.
"They are at the door right now, please open it asap"
You'd say:
"Someone is visiting, they are at the door right now, please open it asap"
This indeed does not sound unnatural or misleading to me anymore.
(I know you'd probably just rephrase the second sentence but this is just and example)
They require access would imply multiple people right?
