rk0567on Show HN: Test My Typing Speed (weekend project)

Thanks a lot. :-) I've fixed some typos. Also made some changes in highlighting the word. Is jarring still an issue ? I guess, I'm not fast enough to notice that. Added other features to TODO.

rk0567on What was your best passive income in 2014?

Thanks. I'll check out.

rk0567on What was your best passive income in 2014?

No. I tried once but didn't get any response. I submitted there and received some feedback though.

rk0567on What was your best passive income in 2014?

$300-$400 per month from my side project [0]. I spend 5-10 hours per month on updating/adding_new_features etc and the revenue comes from Affiliate/Ads.

rk0567on Show HN: PC Builder Tool (My 1 year old side project)

Yeah, that HDD sorting by size is not working as expected. It's filtering based on the first number (or character, whatever comes first), so I think the "500 GB" HDDs are not ranked properly. Thanks :-) I'll fix it by next update!

rk0567on Show HN: PC Builder Tool (My 1 year old side project)

Thanks for your feedback. I'm planning to add more details for processor, so the users can compare/analyze the graphic performance of onboard graphic engine. (and decide if a dedicated GPU is required or not)

On motherboard page, currently, it's highlighting the compatible motherboards, I guess it be more better if it shows only the compatible motherboards.

rk0567on Show HN: Pangoly – Build your shiny new PC

It's cool :-) I've also been working on a similar project [0]. A side project, started around an year ago. Initially it was focused primarily on Indian users, now, I'm adding support for other currencies as well.

I've also observed that, .com, .net domains rank much higher (even if it's not any good) as compared to less popular extensions (.me, .co etc).

rk0567on Dear first world dev, I am going to live your nightmare

It doesn't, it's not a silver bullet but it can help a lot. And my answer was based on my experience (with some variables similar to OP such as working alone on multiple web projects (unfinished), INTP/introvert etc).

BTW, based on the fact that your account is ~few hours old, I think you might be the one trolling[1] (or meta-trolling, more accurately) here :-)

rk0567on Dear first world dev, I am going to live your nightmare

Better understanding of self (emotional/motivational factors). Loneliness would turn into solitudeness. Better attention span.

rk0567on Dear first world dev, I am going to live your nightmare

I think it's a pessimistic approach to discipline. You could just learn to meditate [0].
