if your disk is encrypted, the plug should not be disconnected.

security is not that difficult, but sure, you've got to understand roughly how things work.

> The only thing that might be easier is for Google or the Government (via subpoena or collaboration) to get access to my data.

It is easier and it's a real concern.

Encrypt your disk and be smart in your choice of software: small fries are denied, and even the government is annoyed.

But most people will not deploy a local dns{sec|curve} cache daemon, and use their ISP/OpenDNS/Google DNS instead, and caching is possible at this level instead, isn't it?

If each client endpoint were using a dns cache for classic DNS, the increase in traffic would also be a "concern", no?

requinot59··on Dan Kaminsky responds (at length) to DJB's 27C3 DNSSEC presentation
Let's say that I, like the majority, use my ISP DNS servers. And that my ISP supports DNSCurve.

Can it cache (Curved)DNS responses among all of its clients?

requinot59··on Dan Kaminsky responds (at length) to DJB's 27C3 DNSSEC presentation
The point about the uncacheability of DNSCurve seems correct and a huge concern (http://dankaminsky.com/2011/01/05/djb-ccc/#caching).

A good, simpler than S4, solution may be to use zeromq (PUB/SUB).
