`Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
`That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
`I don't much care where--' said Alice.
`Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
`--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation.
`Oh, you're sure to do that,' said the Cat, `if you only walk long enough.'

GitHub allows you to restore branches and commits are restorable from the ref log.
If your standup can be replaced with everyone posting on a slack channel, then it's just a status update as there's no discussion and alignment happening, which are the valuable parts.
Most teams should experiment with their process more.
While hiring them doesn't prove that Cloudflare's code and practices are sound, it does reduce the risk that they aren't.
I haven't used TweetDelete yet, but a quick search shows there's many paid, free, and open source options available. This one stands out as being better since you can inspect the code and it also deletes favourites and direct messages: http://martani.github.io/Twitter-Archive-Eraser/
- Can I run the tests in random order?
- Are the tests optimised for readability?
- Are the tests unnecessarily testing third-party code?
- Do individual tests contain the whole story? (Or do you have to look in many places to understand each test?)
Extracting code from a big component to helper functions and extracting those functions from the component can lead to cleaner code, and it makes it much easier to test the behaviour of the helpers directly than having to render the component with enzyme.
A good example of this is moving state changes to pure functions [1] which makes them much easier to test, but you'll need to export those functions to test them.

This highlights a bigger issue, many people don't learn their tools well enough.
I've been teaching my fellow senior engineers how to use git the last six months because they've only been using git GUIs until then. They're terrified of merge conflicts and they often make mistakes fixing them.
I'd rather educate people and let them make their own decisions once they can understand and justify the tradeoffs.
I've found over the years that emails as notifications get ignored by me, no matter how interested I was at the time of subscription.
Even back then you had caught the attention of banks. I'm sure they've threatened you many times. But now that banks are taking you more seriously and returning your calls, how are you going to convince them to work with you instead of against you?
And what happens when, if they haven't begun already, try and legally DoS you?
Teller is not a bank itself though. I believe it started as a wrapper around banks' private APIs, not sure whether that's still the case.
What worked for me was to take a long break, a sabbatical. Think deeply about whether you want to stay or move on when you return.
We connect people to their family history. Sound interesting?
We're working hard to make Findmypast the best genealogy site. We have worldwide records and serve many countries, and we're leaders in Irish and British history.
We're building new features and migrating our legacy .NET stack to a microservice architecture running on Elixir, Node, React, GraphQL, and Docker. Experience in these tools not required.
We're looking for Senior Engineers who enjoy working in an Extreme Programming (XP) environment and a good work/life balance. Want to hear more? Say hello ideler.dennis at gmail :)
