rbrbr··on A New Approach to Understanding How Machines Think
Any ever created decision making algorithm is nothing more than programs. A machine is not thinking. It’s executing code.
rbrbr··on So You Want to Open a Small Press Bookstore/Artist-Run Space? A Cautionary Tale
At halfway through the article it becomes clear that the writer has kids to take care of and his own job. That’s what should have been in the title to clarify the scope, and I would have saved the time reading this article. It’s obviously a much different challenge with those factors present. Without kinds and him/her taking care of the cafe instead it would have worked out likely. I mean think of it, people who have a full time job and children usually have little to no time for anything else.
rbrbr··on Major Climate Report Describes a Strong Risk of Crisis as Early as 2040
People are too slow with change. Our worldly scenario is unique because we can basically predict our end now. Like weather forecast becomes more precise the closer it gets to the forecasted day, we know more precisely how and when we will end every day. And like weather, practically there is little we can (will) do to change it.
rbrbr··on IQ Matters Less Than You Think
Headlines like this are tedious. The obvious question without even reading the article is "for what". Obviously IQ does only matter in some contexts. If you don't see that you might lack some of it.
rbrbr··on MIT Energy Initiative study reports on the future of nuclear energy
No, im surprised no one agrees. But if i zoom out a bit and look at our current world im not surprised at all.
rbrbr··on MIT Energy Initiative study reports on the future of nuclear energy
I didn’t expect nuclear energy advocates here.
rbrbr··on Carlo Rovelli on challenging our common-sense notion of time
This guy uses rather confusing descriptions of his theories and ideas. I respect his approach but other are much better in explaining these topics.
rbrbr··on Why we removed our “dislike” button, and probably you should too
I stopped reading their reasoning after a few sentences. Let people have their opinion, good and bad and stop whining around trying to be “all is cool”.
rbrbr··on A Type of Road Junction that Kills Cyclists
Build cars with the driver seat on the left then. All this discussion over an obvious flaw which removed would solve the problem.
