I guess it would be "trivial" to have a bounty on each of the future numbers, since you could encrypt a bitcoin private key with it (it would probably make sense to do RSA -> AES key that encodes the BTC private key)

If I think about asm:
function1:
(do stuff)
jp function1
ret
function2: (other stuff)
ret
main: call function1
call function2
the 2nd call might happen internally due to branch prediction but in practice it shouldn't and the processor fixes thisOh yeah and TFA also goes with:
> The funny bit is that C got this right.(...) but C included one more rule: loops whose controlling expression is a constant expression may not be assumed to terminate.
Well, duh! A broken clock is right twice a day it seems
x86 bytecode is bytecode
They have way more skills than the technical folk in doing that
Now I'm just glad I'm not responsible for this fire
Thanks for buying $product, $consumer
(but yes I think you might be right if we're centered on the CG)
(of course in real life your plane would keep changing, and probably some other complicated math I can't think right now)
I don't see why. Build a VM image in the more sensible OS and work from there
Don't worry about IT support, just burn the VM and replace whenever something gets weird
They probably can solve every video driver issue they find or just find a way to use an nVidia card on a beefy Intel Mac
(or do the same on Linux - also possible)
I don't care. I never cared. And every sane tool knows how to deal with it
Shut up and stop thinking we're still in the 70s
(Also for anything that needs to work on a shell script or whatever)
I roll my eyes every time some "super secure secret generator" gives me a password with &^%#$ that I need to use on a shell script. Thanks for making my life harder I guess
"oh but you just need to escape them" Yes please be my guest trying to deal with character escape whack-a-mole
It is such a list of propaganda and ignoring the problems it's not even funny
And you don't know how the peer-review system works?
Just a hunch but Claude saying your work is "PhD level" does not count
Yes, it sounds weird but it does
- Providing change is a pain and it's a "fixed time" cost
- Moving money around (also some banks charge for money deposits for commercial accounts)
- Dealing with "shrinkage" in various ways (even if you have insurance)
Sounds much better than some 80% of YT videos
For example, I bet Apple is not splitting the video signal and feeding it from both sides, which means that if your screen "fails funny" you get a dead left panel.
Zero-radius folds are rarely a good idea
100%
The hubris is immense
There are plenty of offline things that are more dangerous than AI
Is this Blake Lemoine 2.0?
