pupdogg··on Processing billions of events in real time
Title maybe a little misleading. After reading the document, the chart shows the new architecture as processing approx. 4-million events/sec…I think they are deriving the 400 billion events in real time by taking 4MM events/s x 86,400s/day. The actual number comes out to 345 billion but I’m guessing if we’re that high, might as well round it up-to 400 billion. I personally would consider 4-million events/s as the benchmark for processed events in real-time.

> Domestic abuse is a real problem, but false allegation of domestic abuse is a real problem, too.

200% correct! There are a lot of conniving folks out there who use the system to falsely claim victim hood of domestic abuse. This typically leads to more undesired outcomes than originally anticipated.

pupdogg··on iPhone apps can tell many things about you through the accelerometer
Just an FYI, Apple does give its developer the ability to have the app wake up from background on-demand or at scheduled intervals to perform specific tasks. This is something that can be done as long as the phone is ON and connected to the public gateway either via cell towers or WiFi.

An example would be the Facebook app icon with notification count or the Mail app with unread emails count. This counter is updated based on background processing of Fb or email notifications.

Even more interesting is when asked "What percent of CDC employees are vaccinated?"...Walensky essentially responded, she didn't know. As the primary national tracker of the pandemic, you would think CDC would know their numbers (especially internal ones) inside out.

pupdogg··on YouTube deletes rapper's 'Let's Go Brandon' song claiming medical misinformation
I’ve been led to believe that the Pfizer vaccine (being distributed in US) has not been granted an official FDA approval…though the media outlets state otherwise. I’ve tried to look for documentation on FDA’s website with little to no success. Can someone please provide me a link to FDA approval notice of the Pfizer vaccine that is being distributed here in the US?

pupdogg··on FBI releases 9/11 investigation document that scrutinized Saudis
Good point but I think the planes were a crucial control for their simulation/modeling.
pupdogg··on FBI releases 9/11 investigation document that scrutinized Saudis
Agreed! But if look at the timing of it, the efficiency, accounting, and accountability seemed to be worsened 6x times more to date.

Two planes are hijacked and then rammed into two of the tallest buildings in the world. Both buildings collapse, while causing another 3rd building to collapse as well. I'm not sure how a mathematical model would help/teach the terrorist any more than the already available public videos of the attacks.
pupdogg··on FBI releases 9/11 investigation document that scrutinized Saudis
I think you're confused. This is money before Iraq ever came into the picture (post 9/11). This is money that was reported "unaccounted for" 1 day prior to 9/11.

NIST is still withholding the mathematical model data that was used for their simulation of the collapse to derive their results. More recent rebuttal from NIST can be found here: https://www.nist.gov/blogs/taking-measure/20-years-later-nis...

FYI: Shyam Sunder, the author of the article, was the lead investigator of this collapse.

Yet the coalition of 3400 architects and engineers still do not have computer inputs of NIST's mathematical models used for simulating how the buildings were destroyed. As per NIST: "This information was exempt from public disclosure under Section 7d of the National Construction Safety Team Act because it was determined by the Director of NIST that release of the files might jeopardize public safety."

Whatever happened to the $2.3T (trillion) dollars that went missing as per Donald Rumsfeld's speech on September 10, 2001? I think we forgot to follow-up on this question...leading ourselves into greater debt year-after-year since then.

I could be a novice in this subject matter so please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that a state board certified Ocular Immunologist with an active license to practice would know a lot more about masks than an Information Technology expert...which part did I miss? pupdogg··on John McAfee found dead in Spanish jail after court approves extradition to US
You don’t have to file taxes if you make less than $10k…I think that figure rose to $12k in 2020…how can you or the article prove he made more than that each of those 4 years? Always have to keep an ear open to both sides of the discussion!

15 minute checks aside, I’m pretty sure every federal prison has enough amount of cameras to keep an eye out from the local central command station…especially in 2021. Still surprised there was no evidence of this sort for Jeffery Epstein.

I agree with you. Sorry to see you getting downvoted. Seems like a one-way street down this path every time.
pupdogg··on Pandemic homeschoolers who are not going back
I concur. I can also say with confidence that both High School and College were a complete waste of time and money! I learned more on HN via discussions and informative links than going through a cookie-cutter curriculum in college. I also attribute my little success in business to my mentor and not college.
