prodigycorp··on Dario, Please
Industrial policy in developing countries is a good place to start.
prodigycorp··on OpenJev
Touche. I'm using it and find their claims credible but they deserve broader scrutiny.
prodigycorp··on Replacing Pull Requests with Delta
Do you have a link to an issue, so I can know if I should be worried about this?
prodigycorp··on Replacing Pull Requests with Delta
I haven't tested this yet, but after reading the post, the issue and the proposed fix make complete sense. I've been relying on markdown files to keep track track of threads. My repository has a mess of files because of it. Look forward to giving this a shot.
prodigycorp··on OpenJev
Pretty good analogy. I'd also compare it to a junior employee who tries to make people care about the how of their work rather than the results.

This is a link to a fine tuned modernbert model. Like I said, a bert model can produce jev shaped objects but they're too small to generalize.
prodigycorp··on OpenJev
Yes. These jev-copy projects are all vibecoded, and only mimic the shape of output. Typesafe's documentation is excellent and provides developers with guidance on what exactly to expect from their model. It's also clear that typesafe developed a generalist model that they've tested to work across domains and use cases.

Using libraries like this provide none of those assurances. Sure, you can improve performance with fine tuning , but then we're going back to doing what a model like jev was created to eliminate.

These one shot vibecoded sites are always a complete visual headache. Endless clutter, pointless filler text all over the place, and zero regard for actual usability.
prodigycorp··on Astra for Law
What I'm trying to say which doesnt seem obvious is that all models are x% correct at benchmarks until they get saturated, and then new benchmarks get made.
prodigycorp··on Astra for Law
Help me understand your consternation.
prodigycorp··on Cloudflare/Security-Audit-Skill
I complain because I like using CF. Thank you.
prodigycorp··on Cloudflare/Security-Audit-Skill
The descriptions are shorter now, but they used to read like ads. The skill split still feels arbitrary. You turn on what you think you need, then hit some Cloudflare task that needs another skill and have to go fetch it.

I don’t get why these need to be separate. One skill with progressive disclosure already handles this. That’s kind of the point.

prodigycorp··on Cloudflare/Security-Audit-Skill
Hi Cloudflare people, if you are reading this. Please clean up your Cloudflare. Skills. There are way too many skills for the platform. You should consolidate all of your skills into a single skill and route everything thru that skill. The way it is right now pollutes our context window.

With all due respect, you need to brush up on history. Many industries were birthed from regulatory capture.
prodigycorp··on ChatGPT Is Throwing 404
It's working. Gemini Agents and TPUs are non-union.
prodigycorp··on AI Agent Has Root
works well
prodigycorp··on The browser's main thread is expensive
I want to do a blanket response to people calling this AI slop: the post was written in korean and translated to english. Calling this slop is judgment slop.
prodigycorp··on The browser's main thread is expensive
what's your solution to the performance hit that you get when you load up the dom with a zillion things? long, unvirtualized threads will bring every decent computer to its knees.

the sites could implement their own search to make it all work if they wanted to. they just dont. but blaming virtualization is not tit.

prodigycorp··on Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.8 Flash Cyber
it's very fast but it still doesnt come close to 5.6 sol, at least for me, in terms of gathering the context necessary to do extensive changes.
prodigycorp··on Dyson CameraJet electric toothbrush
Perhaps there's a selection effect where people who buy electric toothbrushes are pre-disposed to care more about dental health.
prodigycorp··on GPU World
SynthID is designed in a way that makes it virtually impossible to scrub over longer texts. It's harder for text than it is for images.
prodigycorp··on Alphabet stock sheds $700B as AI bills climb
This article has no information in at all.
prodigycorp··on The entire city of San Francisco as a video game
Beware, safari users. This locks up safari on my recent macbook pro and you cant close the window to clear it. Restarting safari doesnt help, the tab immediately freezes the app upon start. Holding shift while restarting safari doesnt help. Currently trying to figure out a way.
prodigycorp··on Mea Culpa – Dark Hours
he redirected the domain darkhours.io to darkhours.app. seems pretty fair
prodigycorp··on 2027 memory capacity is reportedly sold out
can u provide some context? what is this trying to solve and how does it solve it? very curious.
prodigycorp··on Taste Is All That's Left
Except calculators provide verifiably good results. AI slop sucks up and wastes everyone's time with nothing verifiably worthwhile.
prodigycorp··on Taste Is All That's Left
Yeah, I am suprised this article ranks so high. It's either written by AI or it's poorly written. Very little to show on behalf of "taste".

"Taste" is one of these words that have been bandied about recently, in addition to "moat". I've never seen a productive conversation stem from either of those mentiosn.

prodigycorp··on Show HN: I spent 2 years designing a mechanical Magic Keyboard
This is outstanding work. I hope you do well with this.
prodigycorp··on The AI bubble is popping; we just don't know it yet
SpaceX has put a ton of excess capacity on the market that was subsequently absorbed by Anthropic. There's a reason why Grok is no longer free.

Meta said it was considering doing the same because they saw how valuable excess capacity was.

You're misinterpreting what actually happened.

prodigycorp··on The AI bubble is popping; we just don't know it yet
Which players, specifically, are you talking about? Everything you said is opinion passed off as fact.
