prabhatjha··on Our machine learning and NLP journey
That's a great idea. Once we have training data for a new category it does not take us a long time to create a ML model for it. Are you aware of any such corpus? ;-)

Hi -- Better is obviously relative so I can not say for sure without really trying their solution. I do know that most of these providers give you a generic classification like sports, entertainment, technology etc. That does not work for product feedback because you already know what category your product belongs to.

Our machine learning model is trained for different verticals and classification we show is based on how customers commonly talk about given class of product and what themes are more important to them.

prabhatjha··on Designing a SaaS Database for Scale with Postgres
ACID was just an example. Thanks for clarifying it though.
prabhatjha··on Designing a SaaS Database for Scale with Postgres
Multi-tenancy at scale with RDBMS is just hard to do. Once you get to certain volume, you just have to have different data stores for different needs. Only a subset of business require ACID properties so you would use RDBMS for those and for the rest choose a NoSQL stack that has the least resistance to ramp up WRT team skill set.

You can get away without using NoSQL but you probably would end up spending time and money maintaining several DB clusters, migrations, handling replication lags etc.

What do you mean that your code to ApiEditor was shared privately? Everything about Swagger-UI, Swagger-Editor is open source so I don't understand why you need to share privately.
prabhatjha··on API Studio – build, test and share APIs in Swagger
You are correct that it needs more documentation and will have it asap. Two things you can do right now: 1. Using "Try this operation", you can hit your API and you will get a mock response. 2. Project-> Download Node.js Project gives you an express based server using swagger-node (https://www.npmjs.com/package/swagger)
prabhatjha··on Ask HN: What's the best way to write an API spec?
My vote is definitely for swagger. Besides being a great way to write API spec, it has tons of tooling to take a given spec to the next level. See the list at https://github.com/swagger-api/swagger-spec. My favorite is Swagger Editor which allows you to write a spec in YAML and shows you consumable API in real time.

There also exist an opens source project that has Swagger at its core called a127 (https://github.com/apigee-127/a127-documentation/wiki) that allows you to build enterprise-class APIs in Node.js locally and deploy to any PaaS where you can run a node app.

Disclaimer: I work with a127 project.
