This post is from 2022.02.20. It says that Chinese airlines have showed terrible security risks since COVID, because COVID creates great losses for airline industry. At the end of the post, it says that deadly accidenty is abound to happen.
Last air crash from Chinese airlines was 2010.
The crashed site is not far away from my hometown. RIP.
As a founder who strugglews with concentration, I found that your insight is gold.
According to my cloud server's monitor, there is a big chance that the slowness is due to bandwith too crowded. I want to see if there is more slowness report or if I can experience slowness again, before I spend time to learn profiling.
But I guess sooner or later I'll have to do that. Now that I know what is in my armory, I feel more at peace :)
Thanks :)
Thanks :)
I just finish setting up CDN a few minutes ago. And my bandwith is 2M now.
I have never profiled my app before. Time to learn new skills :)
My database is mongodb and I use Mongoose as ORM. My crud operation is quite simple, therefore I doubt ORM causes the performance. But like you said, I need profiling.
I only log program exception. Your advice really makes wonder why I have not done what you suggested at first.
I have never analyze SQL queries. This seems to be the time to learn how to do it :)
Thanks for your wise input, this makes sense: reproduce a bug before fixing it.
The whole structure of big corporation is structured in this way. Different apartments have different interests in concern. If you could align, fine. If you can't, then it sucks.
I used to use smart phone before I lie on bed before bedtime. I know that I shouldn't use them. But the dopamine generated by digital devices and internet is too cheap. When I am unhappy or under pressure, I tend to use my smart phone. And I am always unhappy or under pressure recently. Then I use smart phone before sleep. Then I fall asleep very late. This creates some vicious circle. The worse my sleep is, the more unhappy I am.
I can no more live with a digital device in the same room before bedtime.
Before I go to bed, I have to leave all my digital devices, except for kindle, at first floor. Then I return to my bedroom at second floor. Without them, I can finnaly sleep well.
I just learned from this thread that Amplitude has more generous free tier than Mixpanel. I shall try it in my product.
Edit: or pirated games.
It is truly depressing. I would never go back. I earn 1/20 of my old salary as a solo developer. I can't make ends meet, yet. But I would never go back.
Paul Graham wrote somewhing like, if you fail, you would have to go back to those boring companies. This fact provides a lot of motivation. I can't remember the exact phrase. But yes, that's exactly how I feel.
I would do almost nothing in the moring. I did most of my work in the afternoon. In the evening I just pretended to be working.
Forcing a real 7.5h day would not hurt most companies. But it would hurt the ego of middle managers, who want to prove that their teams are trying their best by working long hours.
Even though I know that working all night till 6 am is wrong, I still do this now and then, because work is sometimes addicting.
I need such message from real genius to help me control myself.
I am building a Reddit for China. I can't help thinking about builidng a 3D version.
This is like, what can I say, muse!
