personomas··on Photography Laws in Germany
Obviously, I'm exaggerating. But we have war in Europe. We have other problems. We have Hungary and other countries rejecting or leaving the EU. We have voters rejecting the prominent EU parties in favor of Russian-backed parties. We have economies stagnating or starting to go backwards! We have dictatorship countries like China catching up to the EU! And this is just the beginning of the slow degradation of Europe. The slow burning of Europe.

The Vize-President of Germany just recently said, "The State makes no mistakes." [0]

personomas··on EU commission designates Booking.com as a digital gatekeeper under DMA
I think so. They don't just destroy foreign companies, sometimes they destroy their own.
personomas··on China is giving Russia significant support to expand weapons manufacturing
No, no, no. Everything has been outsourced because taxes and bureaucracy have gone through the roof. We need to reduce taxes. One we can do that is by getting rid of medicare (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40028963).

We need to move away from socialism and towards more free-market and liberals policies. Socialism is the greatest source of our problems.

> Trump has thankfully not been able to do much, however the Bush family has.

Not true, ridiculous statement.

personomas··on The Microsoft-Dilemma – Europe as a Software Colony – Full Documentary
That's not true. America is still a democracy. The US as a whole is an ally to the West and Europe.
personomas··on China is giving Russia significant support to expand weapons manufacturing
Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily call it a WW yet. But I don't disagree with you per se either. You have to realize, I'm talking to those people who think WW3 is a conspiracy theory and will never happen (crazy European socialists above all).
personomas··on The Microsoft-Dilemma – Europe as a Software Colony – Full Documentary
I don't support Trump, I don't like Trump; however, although Trump says a lot of shit, he's no where near the level of Putin or Xi in terms of what he actually does. Even under Trump, America would still definitely definitely be an ally.
personomas··on The Microsoft-Dilemma – Europe as a Software Colony – Full Documentary
That's utter nonsense.
personomas··on The Microsoft-Dilemma – Europe as a Software Colony – Full Documentary
Yes, I don't trust the state's either. But we have to keep things in proportion. Europe can't throw its efforts and forces now at trying to become independent from the US.

We first have to defeat Russia, China, etc. Become independent of them and even defeat them before we start trying to peel off dependency on the US.

US is an ally, and in the near future we have to rely on them. That's it.

Come on, let's not go down this rabbit hole. We have real problems in this world: WW3, Climate Crisis. The West has to be comfortable trusting each other.

Microsoft is by the way more trust worthy than European governments!

personomas··on The darker side of being a doctor (2017)
> Why not increase the supply of doctors instead of reducing demand, whatever that means?

Because that's not sustainable. We can't throw unlimited human resources at health care. We have other issues and societal problems to focus on.

We can only create so many doctors, because its expensive to lock down a smart and ambitious mind for so many years.

Opening up healthcare for free for old people is like opening up an untapped fire hose. This is insanity.

Has anyone ever to stopped to think what work life is like for these doctors and for other health care workers? These people should be able to have a social life, a family, and be able to live out there lives.

personomas··on The darker side of being a doctor (2017)
Because the health care system is dramatically overwhelmed. There are not enough doctors for the demand.

This guys on drugs.

> I have lost control of my days. I had worked in a hospital where I was oncall 24/7, 12 days out of 14. I had fortnightly weekends off. When I was preparing for surgical exams, I’d be working and studying from 6.30am to 10pm everyday, seeing my family only on the weekends for lunch. I had worked in a hospital network that covered 4 campuses and drove 500kms a week when covering these sites. I had worked in a hospital where I didn’t get home for days at a time, sleeping overnight in hospital quarters, outpatient clinic benches and in my car.

We have to stop Medicare. It's not sustainable.

personomas··on China is giving Russia significant support to expand weapons manufacturing
Here comes WW3. One step at a time. We have to start preparing, it's coming.

Do you have any sources? So I can do further research.

I believe that the exit tax is usually never actually collected due to double taxation agreements between countries.

Exactly. If they really wanted to help the AI sector, it would be to reduce taxes lol. These socialist governments are _crazy_.
personomas··on ASML is threatening to leave the Netherlands
EU will probably not let that happen
personomas··on ASML is threatening to leave the Netherlands
Where would they move to? I don't see them moving anywhere. The page says maybe France, but I think that's unlikely.. higher taxes there I believe and a different language.

Ah great addition thank you for your comment. I love your name by the way. I wonder what EU/international laws prevent that

personomas··on U.S. to invest billions to replace China-made cranes at nation's ports
I would say even Biden sells out to China, but less than the others perhaps. We will continue to sell out to china as long as we continue the moral high ground of equality within our borders but equality doesn't matter outside our borders. Contrary to popular opinion, what we need to do is adopt the idea of inequality even within our borders - not through slavery or barbarism but by reducing minimum wage, reducing social programs, reducing taxes, and stopping the influx of illegal immigration. Then we won't have to sell out to China.
personomas··on U.S. to invest billions to replace China-made cranes at nation's ports
Haha yeah you're right
personomas··on U.S. to invest billions to replace China-made cranes at nation's ports
Perhaps, but America is a state where the Rule of Law has power. Undermining the Rule of Law for individual cases like this is not worth it.

Well, going more libertarian would be a great start.

Yes! Exactly, this too.
