My bathtub in my apartment would smell like that after using Tilex. I don't pee in the tub either, so I guess it can only be from sweat.
pers0n··on ‘Find Your Passion’ Is Awful Advice
What if you’ve been doing the same thing for over 10 years and are bored with it despite being good, I’ve been moving into design and went back to school to learn it properly but it’s hard to get into and doesn’t pay as much. I just don’t want to be bored 8 hrs a day doing html, css, etc over and over. I’ve been at it since 99. And backend coding is more boring so I’m stuck on the front end
pers0n··on CBS “60 Minutes” piece on Google’s abuse of dominance
Google reviews can’t be trusted either. Google reviews can be removed, I worked for a company that would work to remove all the bad reviews by real clients then pay people overseas to leave 5 star reviews.
pers0n··on It's time to head back to RSS?

pers0n··on WhatsApp co-founder tells everyone to delete Facebook
So many bloody apps and websites require or ask for fb accounts to sign up, tinder, coffee meets bagel, bumble, etc etc. everyone empowered them.

Note I never got a fb account, so some sites I just can’t use.

pers0n··on How Firefox Got Fast Again
I never switched to chrome, even when it was faster, I just never trusted google even back in the Web 2.0 days. I installed the first nightly at work and the beta at home as I have to have quantum now, it’s just fast and lightweight. Finally it’s taken time but hope Mozilla ends up back at the top, better for privacy, security and speed
pers0n··on RSS: there's nothing better
You don’t have to put the entire post in rss, even Wordpress has that option. You can easily put in a snippet and if it’s interes enough people can click to read it, but yes, Web 2.0 was too open for the real world, capitalism prevails and so the $$$ comes first before anything else
pers0n··on Does anyone remember websites?
I have no doubt mobygames is banking on links from Wikipedia, they are like the only commercial site that seems to be allowed to have links on Wikipedia en masse. A link from Wikipedia is very good for seo and they have tons.
pers0n··on Does anyone remember websites?
Another thing is people often just go to Wikipedia, Wikipedia replaced the need for many fan sites. I had things copied from my sites and put on Wikipedia and tired to get a link back or a source mentioned and it was removed each time. So I lost motivation to even update fan sites, since whatever I type is going to get pasted onto Wikipedia with no link back.
pers0n··on Catalan parliament declares independence from Spain
Trump would impose a tariff on all goods coming in. And I would hope th Us govt would shut down all military and US govt aid and jobs in California if so, regardless of political party
pers0n··on Three Paths in the Tech Industry: Founder, Executive, or Employee
You forgot outsourcer/contractor. The company I work for has no one that can code iOS or Android apps, we outsource everything on Odesk and mark up the price, of course the quality is crap too. But since we can delete Google reviews and push down Yelp reviews and disable reviews on Facebook, everything is fine :/
