The main PIM challenge for me, besides naming things, is discoverability. If I have a system where I put stuff in, how do I find it again? After a few years I certainly have forgotten that I had a link to this one article a friend showed me about obscureTopicX in there?

Interesting! I only consume HN via RSS feed. That means: chronological order + I have no idea what is #1 at any given time. Always wonder why some posts get tons of comments and others almost none at all. Micro echo chamber? Does the time of posting affect the impact? I wonder how many people have the same experience.

They seem to be pretty stable when it comes to their APIs. Over 5 years ago I built a small service to provide your personal Twitter main timeline as an RSS feed. Never touched it since. Still works.

12k paying users sounds like a pretty successful gig. May I ask what happened? Did you sell? Or was it not worth it economically?

I always thought the roadmap.sh Backend Developer Roadmap gives a nice overview of technologies and concepts. Even though it misses some things imo (identity management comes to mind)
