Every company should add a page with a live chart showing how well they are doing right now and how far away they are to be carbon neutral.

I bought this book when I was ~16 because I wanted to learn some discrete maths, but it actually touches many different interesting topics that you don't see in secondary school (including some cryptography!).

This is not the first time Chief Best and the SPD made things up during these events, and in fact they have a long history of misbehavior:
https://www.justice.gov/sites/default/files/crt/legacy/2011/...
Note that in your video Best is not being too explicit on where exactly those crime reports happened, she just says "in the area" while talking about their response times (CHAZ is a relatively important intersection of Capitol Hill and it is causing some traffic). Note also that this video was filmed in the East Precinct itself (i.e. inside CHAZ).
After everything that happened over the last few weeks it is now my belief that they are being dishonest, which is why two days ago I submitted my first FOIA request to learn more about some events connected to the Seattle Police Department.
By the way, I don't think many people here in Seattle believes this is an "utopia" nor anything close to that, in fact I think that CHAZ may be moving away attention from BLM.
I live 7 blocks away from "the zone" and can confirm, I have never in my life seen anything alike in this regard. The scale of the misinformation being spread in social networks and news media reached a level I couldn't believe possible before. Seriously, it's beyond absurd.
If anyone is interested, I have been taking some pictures of the ongoing protests (including a few of the zone): https://www.flickr.com/photos/peramides
By the way, if someone discovers how to trigger this issue it would be easy to use it as a DOS pseudo-botnet.
Thanks for the answers.
Sure sometimes is difficult to discern whether a post was an actual threat or just figurative language, but is it really that terrible to delete a post that was calling to shoot people even when maybe the intention was "just figurative"?
1 - What do you win by allowing users to make direct and explicit death threats?
2 - What is your view with regard to the paradox of tolerance?
3 - Are you against all kind of moderation in forums/social networks?
The thing is people are already being held accountable for their skin tone, and the likelihood of changing your behavior when you have lived your entire life in an environment of constant oppression for fear of being identified in a protest is marginal, specially during catharsis, otherwise you wouldn't see for instance people burning police cars in front of a camera.
Keep in mind also that many (most?) of these "violent protestors" are simply reacting against violent cops in a power trip. I can't say I wouldn't react violently against a cop intentionally running over me and others with its SUV, but I can say that I would be thankful if my face was anonymized no matter how I reacted.

What is a "typical" FP language? Are Scheme, Common Lisp, OCaml, SML, atypical?
> mutable state is rampant in your average Elixir app
I don't think this is generally true, or at least not on my experience, but I guess it may depend on what would one consider rampant.
