pavelai··on Dark mode by local sunlight (2021)
Good idea to make it more humane. It should depend on insolation in the current place (it could differ in close locations), or user preferences. I'd prefer to turn automatic dark mode off at all. It would be great if the transition to dark mode be invisible. Like after locking laptop's screen, not in the process of work.
pavelai··on Mergiraf: Syntax-Aware Merging for Git
Very impressive enhancement. Not a panacea though. It uses tree-sitter approach to solve situations when two users change the same line of code. For example one change function name and other adds a new argument. It will merge it without conflicts. It still has some troubles to solve complex issues, without knowing author intensions. But can significantly simplify developers' lives. Not sure if it would land into git very soon. It requires all git to know all the parsers you need. But definitely worth adding.
pavelai··on Doo: A Simple, Fast Programming Language Built on Rust and LLVM
I think there is a bit of a additional value here. It's very good as a learning project, like "how to make you own programming language and compile it into executable". Due to the simplicity and minimalism, it could be very useful.
pavelai··on Doo: A Simple, Fast Programming Language Built on Rust and LLVM
The idea and syntax looks good for me. I like it's clean an minimalistic design. But still it's to early to say is it good or not. Because there is no obvious features. You should answer the question what's the goal of the language and find the auditory who is right for you.

Did you write it or generate? If the later, then it's could be even more impressive in some way.

pavelai··on Study: Good management of aid projects reduces local violence
The results are interesting, but the research is paywalled. Someone need to write an article about how publicly available articles about public goods shifts public goods growth in communities
pavelai··on You guys need to build more stupid shit
