It's completely and utterly headwrecking! Every time one happens you don't know whether it's going to build into a big one.
My heart goes out to them.
Imagining a future where use of technology like this was restricted by geography. It'd give US workers an _insane_ advantage.
attribute :my_time_at, :datetime, default: -> { Time.now }
attribute :persisted, :boolean, default: false
What I like about the types is that it will automatically coerce the messy user data automatically (this is what AR is doing under the hood anyway right?), you can just be more intentional about it.Anyway, glad you're happy with portrayal :) I definitely agree with you on the "freeze, read-onlyness" etc. being good things to have!
It's a bit dated now, but, I did a short presentation for my local ruby meetup and the slides are here [1]

Thanks :) happy new years
Any others to recommend in that vein?
Just curious, would love to do something similar (or use yours if it was available!)
I've been playing like that with my parents (in their 80s) and it makes for a much more fun game!
Also extra handy: I can make it ring _even if silent with my one-plus physical silent switch on_. I'd not actually worked out how to do that before, and it has been very annoying the odd time I lose it and it's silent.
Very good.
Would you really just ignore the requirements and give the simplest starter as a way to start a conversation?
When my Kindle (or RM) dies, I'll almost certainly replace it with the new writable Kindle, especially as I assume it's backlit which I feel is something really missing from the RM.
Most impressive!
And one more possibly even sillier question, on steam on OSX can you even download the files (because it's only available on windows platform?)
