Super easy to move between phones and to recover in case of disaster.
Brave for work, Firefox for private.
It’s like a Linux Mint experience but on FreeBSD.
Perhaps they could integrate github and winget/snap (for the linux side).
Like, here your Github release page, just one extra click and you can automatically publish to winget (for Windows) and to snap (for Linux).
Any plan to at least allow using other crypto platforms like coinbase?
I have my data on my NAS and I keep on Onedrive and GDrive only what I might need while around.
Dropbox has no reason to exists for me. Firstly, they want to force me which filesystem to use on my Linux box, secondly, I already have plenty of GBs on Google Drive and MS OneDrive, so why would I need another service is beyond me. I mean, it's not like Dropbox is a safe encrypted alternative to GDrive or OneDrive anyway...
Signal is much harder to sell to non-tech users IMHO.
Therefore, so far FB only collects contacts and improves its social network (in the technical sense) with WhatsApp.
Gmail is not that great anyway, it’s too heavy to use their webmail and using IMAP is a major pain due to their stupid labels and not having real folders.
Still, we don't how much telemetry is baked in the core.
All the bad experiences I'm reading in the comments helped me realize it's time to move to Gitlab.
Too bad my company still doesn't want to migrate (too many integrations with Github sadly), even considering all the downtimes in the past few months which have impacted us significantly.
Having a proper competitor for x86/x64 is a good thing.
The fact docker is slower on ARM (at the moment!) is mostly due to the lack of interests for optimizations.
With Apple starting to produce MacARM machines, and maybe more ARM servers in the wild, docker (and other platforms/frameworks) will start to get more performant on ARM as well.
However, Canonical pushes snaps via deb packages (e.g. Chromium).
The best option is the use an Ubuntu-based distro, like PopOS or Linux Mint or Elementary OS.
It's great for having two full windows side to side (e.g. Firefox and a Terminal), and I love it in my sim racing games, the extra field of view helps a lot with immersion.
Without these Ads plans, your device would probably cost $1000, as the Valve Index shows us.
My 2 cents.
