p0cc··on Sonos smart speaker controller API and CLI written in Rust
The funny thing about Sonos speakers is that they run STP amongst themselves. If improperly configured, this can cause unexpected STP behavior on a network, and random ports to be shut off.
p0cc··on Show HN: Tshark.dev – Capture Lifecycle with Tshark
Author here. I created this due to a lack of holistic documentation/articles for working with captures on the command-line. It is not complete, but with over 60 webpages, you will be able to get value out of it now.

Feedback is welcome.

p0cc··on Decoded: GNU Coreutils
This is amazing. The author needs a donate button!
p0cc··on Clip shows misinformation still has a home on Facebook
"a lie will fly around the whole world while the truth is getting its boots on"

- misattributed to Mark Twain, 1921

p0cc··on Black – Uncompromising Python code formatter
I use black because it is idempotent. Google's yapf lacks this property.

p0cc··on Home Network Segmentation: A Must in the IoT Era – CKD3, LLC
The author is proposing a solution that is a naive implementation of an existing technology: VLANs.

This is what you want to do:

* Isolate each group of devices with different VLANs

* Use firewall rules on your layer 3 device (router, firewall, frankenmodem, etc.) to prevent communication between the subnets tied to those VLANs.

This is an example of what this looks like at layer 3: https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Firewall_and_Traffic_Sha...

p0cc··on Show HN: Ymappr – a todo app using mapped lists instead of regular lists
First off - congrats on shipping!

You need to provide more context to what your app does on the front page. Personally, I don't want to sign up for something if I don't know what I am signing up for. These are the kinds of things I am expecting to see on the front page prior to signup:

* Images of what the app's UI looks like

* Is this free or does it have a cost?

* What makes this app unique (how is it different from the alternatives)? Tell me more about (or give me images showing) why mapped todo lists are so amazing!

I would check out the front page of asana.com or trello.com, which do all of these things.

p0cc··on Cisco iOS and iOS XE Software Smart Install Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
This title is wrong. Cisco makes IOS while Apple makes iOS. Note the capitalization. Apple actually licenses the iOS trademark from Cisco.
