>"If you have something important to say, don't say it in a paywalled publication, NO MATTER much they're paying you."

There. I've fixed that tweet for you.

ozymandias12··on 50 U.S. states and territories announce broad antitrust investigation of Google
If that was the case Google AD hell would simply realocate the space for the next high bidder of that space.
ozymandias12··on At 97, lithium-ion battery pioneer says his work is not done
Care to share how you do this?
ozymandias12··on NLP's Clever Hans Moment Has Arrived
Amazing rant.

But what bothers me is that the human animal is trying to create an artificial human mind, the most amazing piece of meat we have laying around.

If we could create the reasoning of a dog first, to then upscale to more complex logic, I'd be more confident research is going places (as in, we have biological evidence building blocks to understand first).

Are you saying we should teach machines to math before teaching them to speak?
ozymandias12··on Palantir forced out of job fair after outcry over ICE contracts

ozymandias12··on Palantir forced out of job fair after outcry over ICE contracts
They do! But they don't have the data, these are tools, just like a browser access the web, Palantir solutions access gov data and link to who knows what datasets, but on paper, they ain't no NSA.
ozymandias12··on Palantir forced out of job fair after outcry over ICE contracts
I like your answer but what bothers me:

1. What are the tools we don't know Palantir has? We know a few and while these fit in your description, they're kinda dangerous apps, and this brings me to point 2:

2. Who they sell these to?

There's this youtube video, I won't link to it, but its awesome. I haven't seen it myself, my wife has, and she told me it was amazing. Its youtube, the video, super student vs teacher thing, overly amazing, much overhaul, legit story.
ozymandias12··on Capital One Cyber Staff Raised Concerns Before Hack
She was a AWS insider. Aware of the common env configurations should have in place and aware that Capital had a few places to poke here and there.

I hardly call this a hack. This is more a cake recipe she followed thanks to working directly on AWS and being a crook.

ozymandias12··on Major breach found in biometrics system used by banks, police and defence firms
>It's almost impossible to use hashes for fingerprints with COTS scanners

No, really, any source on that?

ozymandias12··on Google Cloud Is Down
I’m so tired of this widespread tracking. You can’t even buy a burner phone anymore because there exists multiple fingerprinting methods.

Phone and desktop OSs should grow a pair and create a virtualization protocol to randomize tracking info to keep PII anonymous.

ozymandias12··on Google Cloud Is Down
Wow, he’s comparing the storages SLA of the two biggest cloud services in the world. Pedantic behavior should hurt.
