outoftheabyss··on Decline the 15 Minute Post-Vaccination Waiting Period
I got mine a few weeks ago in a hall the size of a football field, we were well spaced out. This may apply to more cramped venues but to me it’s a bit dramatic. We have to queue for the vaccine, I have to go to the shop otherwise I don’t eat, you can’t isolate yourself from every little possible exposure, when I observe those who try it’s not long before I notice contradictions.

outoftheabyss··on Identity Politics in a Cupertino Elementary School
> One parent told me that critical race theory was reminiscent of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. “[It divides society between] the oppressor and the oppressed, and since these identities are inborn characteristics people cannot change, the only way to change it is via violent revolution,” the parent said. “Growing up in China, I had learned it many times. The outcome is the family will be ripped apart; husband hates wife, children hate parents. I think it is already happening here.”

I don’t think it could be put any better

Took me a couple of minutes to realise that this is the guy from the 10 year old math videos I’ve been watching for the past year.

You can see how passionate and excited he is, this video made me excited to learn

outoftheabyss··on Gab Calls on FB and Twitter to Be Banned from App Stores Following Capitol Riot
I didn’t. Irony it is. Thanks
outoftheabyss··on Pirate Bay founder thinks Parler’s inability to stay online is 'embarrassing'
Or on Twitter, or facebook

Curiosity, exchange of views, diversifying the news and information I’m exposed to, follow some people I am interested in hearing from, respect for censorship stance. These are the first that spring to mind

outoftheabyss··on Gab Calls on FB and Twitter to Be Banned from App Stores Following Capitol Riot
Perhaps he’s being ironic but this doesn’t seem to be an entirely consistent position he’s adopting
outoftheabyss··on Pirate Bay founder thinks Parler’s inability to stay online is 'embarrassing'
I’m not as optimistic as your last prediction, unless Twitter and facebook start eating their own and that Sparks a more diverse range of points of view coming on board. I also think that in terms of interests, people joining these platforms will always have politics as number 1
outoftheabyss··on Pirate Bay founder thinks Parler’s inability to stay online is 'embarrassing'
What puts me off Gab and Parler is that the vast majority are those alienated or banned from other platforms for the same reason, for the most part they all think the same way and the topic of conversation is almost exclusively political. Gab has some interesting groups which slightly mitigates this.
outoftheabyss··on Pirate Bay founder thinks Parler’s inability to stay online is 'embarrassing'
I set up an account this evening and it’s unusable due to loading times. They’ve added 1.7m in 4 days which may explain it. Be interesting to see how long it takes them to scale
outoftheabyss··on Electric cars make up 54% of cars sold in Norway in 2020
It has the effect of increasing the price, just like a tax
outoftheabyss··on Electric cars make up 54% of cars sold in Norway in 2020
For those that are at the bottom end of the market and rely on second hand cars this won’t be the case for a long time.

I lease my car and when looking recently it’s not the case for me either, even when factoring in associated costs. It’s an extra 150 quid a month on sticker price for a roughly equivalent car. Take fuel, tax, servicing reductions out and you are still no where near parity

outoftheabyss··on Electric cars make up 54% of cars sold in Norway in 2020
I worked out that based on energy prices and my 12,000 miles per year, I would save about £500-700 per year in fuel in an average EV. Important to remember the 14k difference is based on entry level range and there’s still the issues that charging presents
outoftheabyss··on Electric cars make up 54% of cars sold in Norway in 2020
Artificially reducing supply by whatever means is going to have a similar effect on the consumer as a tax, prices and the cost to the consumer will rise
outoftheabyss··on Electric cars make up 54% of cars sold in Norway in 2020
Still a huge markup on their petrol equivalents, roughly £14k more expensive. Yes you get a few extra bells and whistles and a small grant to help but that difference still has a ways to go
outoftheabyss··on ATT services down due to bombing in Nashville
Common sense would tell you the t and r keys are right beside each other
outoftheabyss··on ATT services down due to bombing in Nashville
Ironically it was on an occasion when a bomb was phoned in that led to the single biggest atrocity during the troubles. 29 people killed by a cat bomb in Omagh. We may not be living in peace today has it not happened

The last EA game I bought was FIFA12, I spent hundreds on ultimate team microtransactions and vowed never again, there was no doubt something dodgy was going on. They undoubtedly decrease the capability of in game players after a while so you feel the need to spend more and often
outoftheabyss··on Poll: Will you take the Covid vaccine?
Are you sure about that? I know you can easily get it in a local chemist for about a tenner, I’m nearly sure you can book it with your GP if you’re willing to wait a bit longer
outoftheabyss··on iPhone 12 Pro so costly in India, you can fly to Dubai to buy it and save money
I would add to that a brighter screen, the base has twice the storage and the pro has better camera capabilities (that could actually be claimed to be 'pro'). When you equalise the storage, the price differential is about $200.

I second this. I’ve tried to give other online retailers a shot but nothing beats the customer service and reliability of Amazon in the UK, even if something is slightly more expensive I’ll always go with Amazon

outoftheabyss··on Time to Pardon Edward Snowden?
I said after 2016. Wikileaks is a media company that reports info/intel from their sources, no different from the NYT, CNN, fox etc. There were no questions coming from these sections of the general public and the media you allude to when it was bush and it's very convenient for the intelligence community to discredit where they can. Snowden addresses the case against Assange in his latest episode on Joe Rogan, a very interesting listen.
outoftheabyss··on Time to Pardon Edward Snowden?
Amazing how Assange suddenly became a Russian asset after 2016, this charge never appeared when he spent years going after the Bush admin
