What I would have given for someone to explain objects to me when I was trying be an object oriented programmer.
>objects are the things you think about first in designing a program and they are also the units of code that are eventually derived from the process.
Huh? Classes would confuse me. Methods would confuse me. I could get things to work but not understand why or how to extend and abstract properly.
At some point of learning you just need to be told the answer so you can move on.
Same as using different toll free numbers when for different adverts to track performance.
This is amazingly innovative.
We have seen letter switching examples and how the brain will try to fill in the gaps.
This is superbly unique and justifiably a patent and trademark.
The demo works.
The rules may be simple. But as the old boat repairman story says, sometimes you need to know where to hit the hammer.
Please, please don't use this for evil.
Is there an app that can 'un-bolden' letters so I can slow my brain back down.
1. I had my own consulting business (small, 2 of us plus some outsourced support). I didn't like the sales part of the business. Met a client who loved selling and needed support in other areas. I wrapped up my business and took a role as it was more focused on what I love.
2. Currently working with an individual whose business closed during Covid. They think at a high level and are helping with BA work, documentation, client comms etc. It's not so much a hire/employee and more an understanding that they can add value with less direction. They get paid a contract rate.
I have done this several times in my life - it's amazing when two people, willing to do literally any job that is needed, get together. Pretty powerful combination.
Neil Young sold 50% of his publishing rights for $150m[0], so he is doing fine without Spotify.
It is much harder for new artists to make a similar stand. They rely too heavily on Spotify for exposure and the small amount of income they get from playlists and automatically being added via the algorithms used.
So it is easier for the older artists to 'make a stand' without much cost to themselves.

The way I see it is this: there are always a bunch of devs learning their trade.
At one point I would have great ideas but be missing two or three key components that I couldn't build.
I searched for out of the box solution for one time tokens and for a way to store date in transit for automation - nothing existed that I could use so I built it - but I've 20 years experience now and wanted to share my solutions.
Yes, you can do all of this in AWS yourself, but sometime you just want to solve it and move on.
Sometime you want to tell a client it is 0.0001 per record and that their business needs $5 per month to automate/integrate/remove something that costs them a lot more.
And charge them a decent rate for the solution, not the tools.
This is a preliminary study. A much wider group of participants is necessary, from a range of backgrounds and mental health status, before it could be said to 'predict' or 'personalisze' anything.
It's good to look at this as a topic.
I am sure that my behavior changes when I am depressed and that I would express it first via my phone - after all it is at my fingertips.
While I would say that this is very limited in its findings, I hope that there is some further study that expands on this.
If there is any data that is a) not publicly accessible or b) contains personal information, I cannot authorise the use of a web based third party tool. There is just too much risk that some bad actor uses this as a method to soak up data.
I would love to verify /validate that all of the processing is local and have some way to certify if this hasn't changed.
There are a number of languages that use some import / include function to add code blocks.
Have you considered adding some configuration where users can define their include function and what should be looked up?
Don't take that away from me.
Written around 2000, it is surprising how many of his verses are relevant today. These are translations of the original, so have picked up some contemporary interpretation.
"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."
"The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts."
"You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength."

...“This investment in Ireland… will create hundreds of new jobs...
Even at 999 new jobs, that is $420k per job.
These statements need to be clearer. They want to setup in Ireland to minimise tax, not to create jobs.
I found a very convoluted way of opting out: https://twitter.com/pos43/status/1001331147110957056
It is now 2020 and I would be interested to see if these methods have been changed to make them easier or harder.
And found this: https://landing.workoutdaily.io/pricing
Expected behaviour in to add all companies.
Micro plastics from washing clothes:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S026974911...
"The number of microfibres released from a typical 5 kg wash load of polyester fabrics was estimated to be over 6,000,000 depending on the type of detergent used"
A lot of study still needs to be done to determine the sources of micro plastics.
We can all stop using single use carrier bags, but can we stop washing our $3 Target t-shirts made from poly-cotton?
