I stopped recommending them.
I use Privacy Badger by the EFF. They block all kinds of tracking.
Also using Firefox will prevent Browser fingerprinting and such.
"SEO consultants ... offer customers the ability to have links placed on compromised websites."
I guess BuzzFeed News needs to fire their SEO team, don't they?
"Customer websites" get quickly banned for such things.
This only works for PPP (poker, pills, porn) sites that have a new domain over night when one gets burned.
Get up stand up and move. They are talking about you.
I successfully overcame the sedentary "lifestyle" side-effects by training parkour.
One way I moderate my information intake is by relying on some types of media and hardware while ignoring others.
For example I never watch TV and I don't own a smartphone to keep my sanity and moderate the onslaught of bad news and redundant fluff.
The evenings are usually "screen free" time when I try to reduce my information intake but also read books on my favorite topics, sometimes several at once.
I also read magazines that only cover topics I care about. I also use crowdsourced filters like HN, Twitter etc. when online.
When you ignore day to day politics, celebrity culture, marketing (which 90% of "content" is about) you end up only consuming what really matters.
Radiation, addiction and 24/7 workweek were some of the others.
When your phone is smarter than you something is wrong.
Just giving up and taking deaths for granted is cynical.
For example I went vegan and I feel much better now.
I'm saving the planet while at it without "making sacrifices".
Also handing over responsibility to politicians does not work.
As long as people keep on trashing the planet politicians don't care.
Political parties are only catering to mainstream choices.
Thus you need to start a trend that one day will force politicians to act.
You can't even pronounce it. People will only hear "this topic" or something like that.
Guess how that impacts creativity and productivity. Exerting control is actually harming your business not the other way around. Create a distraction free work environment.
You can save people's lives by using the Fairphone already. It's free of those.
I'm optimistic it will exist after climate disaster but we may be extinct then.
AI will probably use it then. Who knows, maybe that's even the plan? ;->
I don't use Google spyware - only for testing things.
I don't have Dyslexia but when having migraines I can't read online properly anymore so that will help.
I just wonder whether it's worth the fuss as I have Reader View in Firefox already.
Cobalt, coltan, tantalum - you name it. We all use them daily.
They have been fueling the war in Congo for over a decade.
You most likely own technology build on child or slave labor minerals.
Thus initiatives like the Fairphone have been born.
Another situationist author - Raoul Vaneigem - is far more readable.

How do I know that after a million users you won't turn into another Mark Zuckerberg like czar?
I'd rather stick with the other attempts: Mastodon, Ello, Diaspora. They all offer good levels of privacy.
Vivaldi has to mimic Chrome because otherwise Google throws errors.
It's not that Google is unaware that there are browsers or that Vivaldi is not Chrome.
It seems it's made for programmers as of now. What about writers? They don't have a demo.
They keep users in their walled garden but preventing linking out.
On the open Web you are allowed to link when and where you like. That's a huge difference.
