onassar··on Show HN: AccountDock – Billing history for your Stripe app
Great to hear rajacombinator!
onassar··on Show HN: AccountDock – Billing history for your Stripe app
I can respect that.

We don't store any Stripe data other than a few non-identifying pieces, required to enhance the experience for customers.

Feel free to email me (oliver@accountdock.com) if you're curious to learn more about the security & privacy precautions we've taken.

Awesome thanks TheMakeA! Just fixed that!
onassar··on Show HN: AccountDock – Billing history for your Stripe app
Hi there dchuk. So many great apps out there built on top of Stripe's API.

We actually set out to be just as easy to integrate as the Stripe Checkout plugin (if not easier). Let me know if you can take it for a spin; would love feedback!

Working for us! Here's what we see when we click the "Try the demo" button: https://i.imgur.com/ZUi3sib.png
onassar··on Show HN: AccountDock – Billing history for your Stripe app
Developer here: We built AccountDock because we realized how hard it was to get Stripe billing history right.

So many edge cases that we wanted to make sure were accounted for. Excited about what's next!

onassar··on Ask HN: What do I use in place of Microsoft Clip Art now that it is dead?
While it's not exactly in the same league, http://shareasimage.com is my go-to
onassar··on Smarter saved cards
Hi Daz, We're working on something related to your request over at AccountDock (https://accountdock.com). Email me at oliver@accountdock.com I'd love to chat with you to get a better understanding of your needs and how we might be able to help :)
onassar··on Kickstarter switches to Stripe
Hi zmitri: Do you have any more details on how Stripe and banks signal recurring charges. What you're describing sounds interesting, but with our app we see decent churn from the use of debit visa/mastercards
onassar··on Show HN: Curated Stock Photos in your Inbox every week (royalty free)
Thanks for the feedback Anton We're actually working with some photographers directly to release their photos under the same CC0 license Our goal is to have the process be as easy as possible: every week, you get emailed 20 high quality, royalty free photos, so that you don't need to surf around to all the different sites

In the first year, this will result in just over 1,000 photos delivered right to you (zip file each week)

If you have any other thoughts on giving more value, would love to hear them: oliver@shareasimage.com

Will speak with my design partner and get back to you
onassar··on Show HN: Curated Stock Photos in your Inbox every week (royalty free)
It's one we'd used before that needed some updates

Great to hear josh. Saw the register. Hope you enjoyed the first pack :)
onassar··on Show HN: Curated Stock Photos in your Inbox every week (royalty free)
Hi sasalek. We curate from a pool of about 10,000+ the best ones we can that have a flexible license that are royalty free, and permit usage of any kind (also called a CC0 license)
onassar··on Show HN: Curated Stock Photos in your Inbox every week (royalty free)
Thanks for the feedback josh 1) Will increase the contrast between the text and background colours 2) Great insights here. We plan on including documentation with each download pack to make clear where the licensing documentation can be found that establishes the CC0/Public Domain details. Will look into cataloging screenshots of photo licenses and date/times

Thanks for the feedback kineticac If you scroll to the bottom of http://weeklysnaps.com/ you'll see some of our sources (little visuals, unsplash, pixabay, new old stock, etc) That's a great idea around sending just teasers and then creating a marketplace if the receiver is interested in the photo. Will add it to our list :)

Hey will; took about 2 days to get the site designed
onassar··on JSON Resume – a JSON-based open source standard for resumes
Awesome idea. I could imagine a marketplace for resume themes that is based on this. Would be easy to switch between different designs to see consistent details.

Well done.

onassar··on Annyang.js – Let visitors control your site with voice commands
Love seeing this. The other day there was a thread about how there is so much focus on supporting IE browsers with relatively low market share, yet not much on accessibility issues within all browsers.

I think this is a great step towards highlighting those issues, and offering up a solution to address some of them programatically.

onassar··on Death Row – Last words of every Texas inmate executed since 1982
Average age is around 39

  var ages = [],
      sum = 0;
  $('tr').each(function(a,b) {
      var age = $(b).find('td:nth-child(7)').text();
      if (age !== '') {
          ages.push(age);
          sum += parseInt(age);
      }
  });
  console.log(sum / ages.length);
Returns 39.10679611650485
onassar··on Lanyrd acquired by Eventbrite
I'm working on a business in a similar space, and what got me excited by this news was the natural overlap. It doesn't come off as a talent grab. Rather, there are natural parallels between the two services, and it seems like they're going to explore how they can (yup, I'm gonna say it), synergize, their two respective domains.

Podium (http://hellopodium.com) is the service we're working on. Excited about this space :)

onassar··on Show HN: Sieve - filter webpages and watch changes
I'm been working on http://imnosy.com for a while, and thought about that approach, but ran into difficulties when slight variations to the screen were made. Right now, we're using a diff engine. Sieve looks pretty rad though. Will check that out. Fun space :)
onassar··on Introducing Lanyrd Pro, for companies that speak at and sponsor events
Thanks for sharing simonw. I'll def. be looking into this for my (similar) project Podium (http://hellopodium.com), which aggregates talks going on in Toronto.
onassar··on Google Reader shutting down
Good find patrikr: http://imnosy.com is a little different then that service. More of a bookmarking engine.
onassar··on Google Reader shutting down
I developed http://imnosy.com to notify you when bookmarks/pages you add are updated. Google Reader used to provide this kind of functionality, so I thought I would mention it here myself.
onassar··on Show HN: the remote-only job board called HireThere (a weekend project)
So far, I've got: https://hirethere.com/ http://remojobo.com/ http://jobmote.com/
onassar··on Show HN: the remote-only job board called HireThere (a weekend project)
Another one :) Going to add it to my http://imnosy.com/ account. Now I've got three different places to find remote jobs :)
onassar··on Show HN: My weekend project, Remojōbo: a remote job board for web nerds
Something warm about remote workers helping out others who want to work remote. I built http://imnosy.com to be able to track when webpages are updated. I'm going to add http://remojobo.com/ and http://jobmote.com/ to it now.

Best of luck Charlie!

onassar··on How to read the news to predict the course of nations
I really loved the piece it linked to: http://qz.com/17335/ten-indicators-you-should-watch-to-predi...
onassar··on Show HN: urlbox.io - Add beautiful website screenshots to your site
While there appear to be a number of sites operating in this space (documented some here: http://web.onassar.com/blog/2012/11/19/web-based-screenshot-...), this looks simple and straight-forward. While the cost is prohibitive for me since there are free alternatives (http://immediatenet.com/), it's great to see more competition in this space.

For what it's worth, I'm using it on my site http://imnosy.com
