okozzie··on Show HN: I redesigned my landing page to be as unprofessional as possible
Just to be clear, those aren't stats for my site (or any site) haha.

Premium users get analytics on their website - that was just supposed to highlight the analytics feature. I'll try to make it more clear that they aren't real stats (it's a demonstration of the feature)

Hey guys, straw.page is a drag and drop website builder that works on mobile.

I just redesigned the landing page, in preparation for a huge update coming next week (blogging!)

Yep, cool site - it's a shame they've stopped updating it though haha

Hey guys, quick update: HUGE update is releasing next week.

It will include a blogging platform (with a notion-like editor), where you can design your own theme + more!

Yep, completely intentional haha. Wanted to make something unconventional
okozzie··on Show HN: Straw.Page – Extremely simple website builder
Straw.Page is a website builder focused on unique/creative sites

Instead of the conventional tools out there, this is a lot easier to use and is extremely customizable + works on mobile too!

Here's a few cool sites built with the platform

https://exfabricafestival.straw.page/

https://unknowncaller.xyz/

https://jeansmainb.straw.page/

https://graham.straw.page/

These were all made without any of the templates, so they used a blank theme and 'drag and dropped' a bunch of elements together

There's a lot of other great sites, I plan on creating a discovery page soon

Yep, at the moment it's just six themes. But starting from next week, the templates will be randomly generated (i.e. Color schemes, placements, etc)

And thank you!

Thanks!
okozzie··on Show HN: A website builder for Gen Z
Hey guys, it's estimated that 72.6% of people will access the web only via their phones by 2025. Most people end up sharing templates with thousands of others, only because their website builder didn't offer an easy way to make them unique.

This is a website building platform with a mobile first approach, and is focused on building unique sites.

Went for something less traditional haha

It's the easiest to use in terms of customizability. The editor has zero learning curve, and you can make a lot of creative designs with it.

It's focused on creative websites, but has a lot of different use cases.

okozzie··on Show HN: Straw.Page – Extremely simple website builder
The main thing is people can design their own site in the editor. Most site builders that let you do this are usually too complicated (Webflow), and the others lack customisability (Squarespace).

It doesn't make sense to offer only brutalist themes, but users are given the tools to do so.

Some people have made some cool, weird-looking sites already whilst others have built more clean ones.
